Notes on accommodation
The apartment is suitable for children. As well as the beds mentioned above there is an additional put-up bed and also a baby's travel cot. For older children the area is very safe and secure and they can freely roam the San Roque resort to play tennis, swim, horse ride, cycle or go jogging. The Apartment is ideally suited to golfing parties.
Accessibility
The apartment is on one level so inside the apartment is suited for wheelchair. There is a lift system from road level to the apartment.
Outside
There are two terraces, the larger is south facing and over 82m2. There are magnificent views over two fairways on the old San Roque golf course, over the communal gardens and pool and out to the countryside and Mediterranean sea. The larger terrace has dining facilities and sun loungers and is attractively planted with decorative shrubs. The smaller private terrace gives outdoor access from bedroom 2 and 3. There is a large communal pool, a children’s pool, as well as toilets, shower and changing facilities. Sun loungers are provided by the pool which has a lifeguard on duty during the summer months.
Coast/Beach
This part of the coast boasts long, wide, sandy beaches. The closest is approx 5 mins drive at Alcaidesa. This beach has an amazing view of the Rock of Gibraltar, fabulous beach facilities including beach bars and restaurants, volleyball, showers. The famous white sandy beach of Tarifa is 40 mins drive.
Golf
The apartment is on the famous San Roque Golf Resort. San Roque Golf Club boasts two Championship courses and the Seve Ballesteros Natural golf school. There is a two 2 tiered covered driving range. Practice areas include 2 putting greens, pitching area and 3 practice bunkers. Club, buggy and trolley rental. Within 10 mins of the apartment there is on offer an array of other top class golf courses including Valderama, Sotogrande, Alcaidesa, Almenara and La Canada There are many more along the coast towards Marbella catering for all golfing standards.
Skiing
During the winter months, you can take a two and a half hour drive from the apartment to enjoy skiing in the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Special interest holidays
Tarifa and the coastline of the unspoilt Costa de la Luz is just a 40 min drive away. This is a very famous spot for wind surfing and kite surfing. Tarifa offers a host of beachside bars and restaurants and wonderful golden sand beaches. For those interested in Polo there is an impressive world class polo club at Sotogrande.
Travel
From UK there are flights directly into Gibraltar which is a 15 min drive from the apartment. From Europe and UK Malaga International airport is approx 1 hour drive, motorway all the way. Jerez Airport is also approx a 1 hour motorway drive - Ryanair flys to Jerez from UK. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Two golf courses, driving range, hotel, bars, restaurants, horse riding and tennis all onsite in walking distance.
The Pueblo Neuvo is a small town which has shops and restaurants and is 5 mins drive. The larger town of San Roque is 10 mins drive where there is a weekly market, bullring, casino, shops and restaurants.
The Sotogrande commercial centre which has a fantastic Cor supermarket is 10 mins. Carrefour Hypermarket is 20 mins.
Further details
The local port and upmarket marina of Sotogrande is 10 mins drive. For fantastic shopping, bars, restaurants, beaches, marina and a lively nightlife visit Marbella and Puerto Banus around 35 mins drive. Historic Gibraltar and it's shopping is 15 mins drive. If you would like to explore the culture and history of Andalusia further - Ronda, Cadiz and Jerez are all within an hour's drive and are full of history and places of interest. While Granada, Seville and Cordoba are around 2hr 30mins drive and are fascinating cities to visit. or those still wanting to venture further on a day trip there are regular ferries to Tangier, North Africa.

The full rental price will then be payable no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival date.
