Villa Del Mar is a traditional Spanish villa in the exclusive area of Las Tres Calas (The Three Coves), a tranquil location close to the beautiful Catalonian fishing village of L'Ametlla De Mar. The villa has recently been renovated in it's large grounds, with a brand new private floodlit swimming pool, a superb BBQ area with outside furniture for alfresco dining! Las Tres Calas's spectacular beaches are truly beautiful and is a must see for those who like a peaceful and tranquil beach day. The three picturesque beach coves are never over crowded, ideal for children due to their shallow waters and sandy sea beds, which continue to captivate people who visit year after year. The local fishing village of L'Ametlla De Mar, a short taxi ride, has some wonderful restaurants, an opportunity to sample the local vino and cava. Here is a location to discover the real Catalan life in the heart of a typical Catalonian fishing village.

Coast/Beach
There are three local cove beaches, (Las Tres Calas), all 5 minutes drive away. Nearest is Cala Forn which is approx 2km from the villa. This is a particularly picturesque cove which is never over crowded, and is ideal for children due to shallow waters and sandy sea beds. You are spoilt for choice along this stunning coastline.
Golf
There are plenty of golf courses in the area. Bonmont Golf and Country Club, a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and considered to be one of the finest golf courses in Catalonia is at Mont-Roig, Tarragona, a 30 minute drive from the villa. A fantastic course with excellent dining, for both lunch and evening, a must visit for either playing or dining out.
Travel
We would recommend that you hire a vehicle to explore and discover some of Costa Dorada's attractions to really appreciate what this area in Spain has to offer, and are easily obtainable online. Both Reus and Barcelona Airports are convenient for the villa, both of which are well served by low cost airlines. Ryanair fly into Reus, whilst EasyJet have a frequent service to Barcelona. Reus is only a 30 minute drive from the villa, whilst Barcelona is just under 1hour 30mins.

Looking beyond Las Tres Calas, Villa Del Mar is a convenient location for many popular nearby attractions including Universal Studios Port Aventura, superb nearby golf courses Bonmont Golf and Country Club is a favourite, and popular resorts of Salou and Cambrils. Why not take a boat trip down the River Ebro or spend the day at the Natural Park of the Delta Ebro, and excellent retreat for animal lovers and bird watching. Visit the stunning caves of Beniffalet or drive up the mountains, a 20 minutes drive away and visit the historical medieval village of Miravet, with its ruined castle and stunning views, to die for. A trip across the river to this destination on a barge powered by the current of the river along with your car is a safe experience not to be missed. If its history you are after then visit the old towns of Reus and Tarragona where you will find many historical monuments, the largest being the old Amphitheatre in Tarragona. Barcelona needs no introduction, a vibrant cosmopolitan city, with the highly recommended guided tour of the city on a open air bus, which stop at the many historic attractions. Barcelona is also a shopper’s heaven with some of the finest fashion outlets and boutiques in Europe. One city you will never forget. Also being a major wine growing area, there are many small independent producers who are only too willing to let you taste their produce before you make a purchase. If you want something more lively, visit the coastal resorts of Cambrills and Salou. Only 25 mins drive away, these more commercially developed areas is also the home of Universal Studios Port Aventura. A great day out for the family, especially when staying for the midnight firework display on the lake, a spectacular event, an attraction which now includes a new water park Costa Caribe, will ensure that after an action packed day everyone will sleep well. Also worth a visit is Miami Playa, 15 minutes drive, where there are some excellent restaurants to be found.
