This penthouse apartment has a fantastic position in the luxury Laguna Beach complex, overlooking the 2 large swimming pools (and children's pool), the tennis and paddle courts and landscaped gardens, as well as having views of the sea, the Sierra Nevada mountains and the adjoining lake and lakeside beach. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with full air conditioning/heating and ceiling fans. There is fully secure underground parking with a lift leading up to the apartment. Almerimar with its beautifully maintained tree-lined avenues is within easy reach along the promenade or a short 5 minute drive. At its centre there is a very attractive marina, with a good variety of shops, restaurants and bars. Nearby are many attractions, including golf, fishing, wind and para surfing, horse riding, the Nature Reserve, Water Park, Aquarium and wild west Theme Parks.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible providing it fits in with existing bookings.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has air conditioning with heating. Additional equipment supplied including an iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, hairdryer and mirrors in all rooms.
Maid service during your stay is not included within the price of your holiday. If you require a maid service this must be arranged at the time of booking and at a separate charge. Please note that beach/pool towels are not supplied and these should be taken with you. We kindly ask all guests not to use the towels supplied at the property for the beach or around the pool.
Accessibility
The complex is fully accessible for wheelchair use (except for the stairs from the balcony to the roof terrace). The apartment has lift access and there are ramps throughout the complex ensuring freedom of movement to all facilities. There is an allocated parking space in the secure underground parking with direct lift access to the front door of the apartment.
Outside
Laguna Beach has 3 main pools, with adjoining pools, and 2 children's pools. There are landscaped gardens with fountains, palm trees and grassed areas, as well as 2 children's playgrounds. The 4 floodlit tennis and paddle courts, the gymnasium with jacuzzi and Turkish bath, together with the pools and snack bar ensure that everyone is catered for.
The apartment balcony is ideal for sitting out and watching the activity in the main communal area, whilst the roof terrace is perfect for eating lunch under the shade of the large awning, barbequing and dining under the stars or for secluded sunbathing on the sunbeds.
Secure underground parking (with access via lift or stairs), fencing, 24 hour security and entry phone access ensures that children are protected from any outside dangers.
Coast/Beach
The complex has access to the lakeside beach from the main pool area and is only 200m from the long wide natural Blue Flag beach, alongside which runs a fully lit, landscaped promenade with cycle path that extends all along the beach to the marina. There are showers approx every 20m at the back of the beach with toilet facilities and lifeguard posts at regular intervals. There are beach bars and a number of small restaurants along the seafront.
Golf
There are 7 golf courses in the Almeria region. Almerimar Golf Course, designed by Gary Player is only 1km from Laguna Beach. Its 18 holes provide challenging golf for players of all levels and has recently been remodelled and extended with a further 9 holes. Within 20 minutes drive are two other courses. La Envia, built in a mountain basin surrounded by stunning scenery and Playa Serena at Roquetas de Mar, a good quality holiday golf course. Within an hours drive away - along the excellent fast motorway, are 4 further excellent courses Valle del Este, Desert Springs, Alboran Golf Club and Mojacar Marina - all offering top quality golf.
Skiing
The apartment is only a 2 hour drive from the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada along fast, uncrowded motorways. This is one of Europe’s highest ski resorts with a long season lasting from November to early May. It is possible to swim in the sea in the morning, ski in the afternoon and be back in time to relax over a meal by the marina.
Travel
Almerimar is only a 35–40 min journey from Almeria airport. Easyjet, Ryan Air and Monarch have daily flights from Stansted, Gatwick, Manchester, Luton, Dublin and Birmingham. There are flights from Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow and Cork with Jet2.com, BMI Baby, Mytravel, First Choice and Flightline. Malaga and Murcia airports are about 2 hours away. Car hire is recommended and is available from the airport at good prices. Taxis and shuttle buses can be pre-booked and cost from £15pp one-way.
Distances
Almerimar, with the second largest marina in Europe and variety of restaurants, shops and supermarket is only a 5 min drive or 35 min walk along the promenade. Roquetas de Mar with un-crowded beach, lively beach bars, shops and restaurants is only a 15 min drive away. Indoor shopping centre, hypermarket and go-karting 10 mins. Granada Alhambra Palace 90 mins drive. Wild West Theme Parks 45 mins. Aqua Park 20 mins. Almeria, with fortress and port 40 mins. Cabo de Gata Nature Park 45 mins.
Further details
The picturesque town of Almerimar boasts an excellent marina, golf, fishing, wind and para surfing, horse riding, wild life/ bird watching, walking and much more. There are banks, pharmacies, video shops, internet cafe and a good variety of other shopping opportunities, as well as doctors and dentists. A local market is held every Sunday at the marina and nearby El Ejido has a busy market every Wednesday morning with a wide range of products. There is also a regular night market in the Almerimar marina area during the summer season. Almeria enjoys the warmest and driest climate of all Spain, with temperatures in January averaging 17°c and in July and August 28°c, and an average of 3000 hours of sun per year.
Booking notes
The booking is confirmed by payment of a 25% deposit and the balance is required 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. A breakages deposit of £200 is required with the final payment which will be returned in full subject to a satisfactory inspection of the apartment. A local management company will give you the keys and deal with any queries.
