Beachside Garden Apartment with Private Pool, 150yds from Private Beach. Situated in a quiet area of the Mar Menor in Southern Spain, this small private development has four restaurants and a beach bar as well as a beach club (for the use of residents and guests only). The Beach Club has a large swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis, and a multi sport area. It is typically Spanish, and the development is laid out with spacious rows of parkland between the streets of villas, houses and apartments ( No building is more than two stories high). There is a Palm lined promenade with views across the Mar Menor to La Manga, which makes a lovely walk in the evening as the sun sets over the sea. The village 'Los Urrutias' with it's Chemist, Supermarket, Hardware Store, Newsagent, Ice Cream Parlour, Bank etc, is only a five minute stroll away. Swimming and snorkelling in the Mar Menor (a sea water lagoon) is wonderful. It's calm, shallow, always warm and is perfect even for children.

Changeover day
Changeover days are on Sundays during high season, but during low and mid season they are at any time to suit our clients, as we know it's often much cheaper to fly mid week. We ask clients to vacate the property by 10.30am, on the day of departure.

Kitchen: The kitchen has an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and filter-coffee pot.
Utility Room: Sink in the kitchen with washing machine. Drying rack provided.
Living Rooms: The living/dining room has a three piece suite, sideboard, TV and DVD with dining table and six chairs.
Other: Patio garden with patio table, six cushioned chairs and parasol.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
We supply all linen and towels (except beach towels). Quilts are available if required in winter months. We ask guests to leave the property clean for the next clients.

Accessibility
Access to the Apartment from the Patio Garden is up half a dozen steps.

Outside
The property is double fronted and the private patio garden is quite spacious and ideal for alfresco dining at all times of the day or evening. (We eat almost all our meals out on the patio). In addition to the Pool for the development, we have a private pool for only the apartment block residents and guests (key supplied).

Coast/Beach
150 yards to Private Beach with park, beach bar and foot shower facilities. There are also other lovely beaches nearby, Los Urrutias Village, Los Alcazares and also Los Narajos. The beaches are on the Mar Menor (small sea or lagoon) which is one of Europe's largest seawater lakes. It is almost always warm, is non tidal and very safe for children. these beaches are fine white sand, very clean, and have been just won the coveted "European Blue Flag" award.

Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia/San Javier which is just 10km away (close enough to use a taxi - far enough away to not be a noise problem), and Alicante airport is about a further 45 minutes drive away. There are cheap flights from all over the UK with airlines such as Flybe, Monarch, BMI, BMI Baby, Iberia, British airways, easyjet and ryanair to name but a few.

Distances
Everything you need is only a few minutes walk away. Los Urrutias has a market every Thursday, where you can buy almost everything and the old town of Los Acazares, a 5 minute drive away (with its cafes, shops, promenade, and beautifull sandy beaches), also has a large Street market every Tuesday (lots and lots of bargains there as well).

Further details
We can arrange a car to or from from the airport (maximum 6 people per vehicle). €20 each direction.

As the property is only 15 minutes/10Km from the airport (€19 - €22 Taxi Ride) and everything you need is within easy walking distance. A car is not neccessary if you want to stay local, but will be if you want to visit the neighbouring towns and villages. If you just want to visit Los Alcazarez, (the next town) it is €10 in a taxi.

There are fantastic bargains to be had at all the Spanish Street Markets, and they are great fun to visit. We send you details of all the local ones.
Car hire - If we bother with a car we usually internet book through Carjet. They are an English based firm, English speaking, and arrange car hire directly from the Airport Hire companies (both airports), at rates better than anyone else we've found so far, but you do not always need a car at this resort.

Booking notes
We request a deposit of £100 per booking / week, plus a refundable damage deposit of £100 at the time of booking. The balance to be paid 60 days prior to your arrival date. We welcome payment by cheque, bank transfer, or bank draft, in UK pounds sterling. The £100 damage deposit is refunded to you by cheque within 7 working days of your return home.

The resort was excellent and cannot be faulted as a destination where you can soak up the sun without the crowds and the usual race for the sunbeds that you usually get in Spain - First Class. The bars were excellent, they made us very welcome & the one near the beach is very lively. The Blue Bar next to the apartment has just been sold, and completely refurbished to be like a "wine bar". the owners have gone the extra mile & the food is top quality. The Private Beach! We sat on a mile of beach with only 20 other people - Quality!
