Accessibility
Complex is flat and walking around the area is flat there are 12 steps up to the apartment with hand rails the apartment is on a bus route also.
Outside
Private upstairs balcony with table and 4 chairs shared area for pool with secure gates ideal for children as it has separate paddling pool (see photo) and anti slip flooring. Lawned areas to the side of the pool
Coast/Beach
Driving time to the local beaches is about 10 mins. La Zenia beach is about 25 mins walk. All the local beaches are blue flag beaches and boast beautiful golden sand. La Zenia beach has a life guard during high season and beach bar. You are able to take long strolls along the beaches great views. There is sailing, scuba diving and water skiing at Alicante and Torrevieja which is only 10 mins away by car or the bus route is only 1 euro and runs regular through the day.
Golf
Campoamor, Villa Martin and Las Ramblas are about a 10-15 min drive. They are all championship golf courses. La Manga resort with golf courses is 30 mins drive away.
Special interest holidays
For those who visit to experience the superb healthy climate (as recommended by the World Health Organisation) there are the salt lakes nearby which have mud baths around them to relieve aches and pains. fantastic slow way of life great to relax and very friendly locals.
Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia, about 20 mins by car. Alicante is about 45 mins by car. Although a car is not absolutely necessary it does make getting around quicker and easier but buses are available. You can also benefit by being able to visit Torrevieja, Orihuela and Cartegena. car hire can be arranged locally and airport transfers can also be arranged for you at a cost 30 euros each way.
Distances
Torrevieja is a bustling harbour town which also has fine beaches about 8km away. It also boasts a host of good inexpensive restaurants and a lively night life. Orihuela and Cartegena are historic towns well worth a visit and the San Miguel the town which is home to the famous brew is only 20 mins drive. The salt flats provide the very settled micro climate in the area and are home to thousands of flamingos are a must to see.
Further details
Within a few yards there is a newsagent which also sells delicious fresh hot bread. The Chinese and Indian restaurant also mini market and Irish bar around the corner. There are many inexpensive restaurants nearby and in Torrevieja where you can get a three course meal with wine for 10 euros per person.
