Cortijo Los Arroyos Altos

Our Cortijo is that hidden gem you always wished you could find. Situated at the end of a track with hardly any passing traffic it consists of 2 houses, 1 of which is available for S/C holidays. The other is the home of the owners who are on hand should you need any help and advice, but otherwise the facilities are exclusively yours to enjoy. Nestled amidst olive and almond groves with spectacular mountain views, the setting is very tranquil and there are many tracks where you can stroll freely. Horse riding and tennis are nearby and golf is available in Antequera, just 30 minutes drive away. Or simply relax and unwind around the very quiet and peaceful 10x5m private swimming pool bordered by terracing and with covered kitchen and BBQ. Comfortable sunloungers are provided in both sunny and shady spots & there is plenty of outdoor space for dining and games such as pool, table tennis, giant jenga, water polo etc, providing something for everyone to enjoy the al fresco lifestyle.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Minimum 3 nights - prices pro rata. 20% non refundable deposit required at time of booking. Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you with payment details etc - balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Prices are for the cottage and are for 7 nights. Excellent skiing in the Sierra Nevada Easter still available at no supplement!

Changeover day
Any changeover day. Arrival/departure times are flexible.

Notes on accommodation
The cottage is fitted with a wood burner which is fan assisted providing heat throughout - further electric heaters are provided in the colder months if required. Fans are provided in the summer months. All gas, electricity & water included.

Accessibility
We are situated at the end of a quiet country lane with normal vehicle access. There are several level changes around the property and it is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
Outdoor facilities include a private 10 x 5 metre swimming pool which can be heated in the cooler months (at a supplement). There are several patios providing sunny or shady spots including dining tables and sun loungers, and there is plenty of space for games such as pool, table tennis, giant jenga etc plus lots of games for the pool. There are 2 comfortable hammocks under the huge oak tree providing calm for a quiet snooze or read. At the poolside there is a covered kitchen/bar area with fridge, microwave and gas BBQ meaning that everyone can stay around the pool area even when it is meal time!

Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa Del Sol and Costa Tropical are approx 1 hour's drive by car. There is a lakeside beach at Lake Iznajar, about 20 mins drive away.

Golf
Golf is available in Antequera 30 mins drive away by car.

Travel
The nearest airports are Granada (40 mins drive) or Malaga (50 mins drive). If you prefer not to hire your own car, we can offer you our chauffeur service which includes airport pick-up, days out, trips to local restaurants etc. Quite often, depending on how much travelling you want to do, this can work out to be less expensive than hiring a car (further details provided on request).

Distances
We are situated 10 mins drive by car from the nearest villages of Cuesta La Palma and Estacion de Salinas where there are several good bars and restaurants, bank and mini supermarket. For more restaurants and a larger supermarkets the towns of Loja & Archidona are approx 20 mins drive by car. We are only 10 mins from the main A92 autoroute which then takes you to all the major towns and cities of the area e.g. Antequera, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Seville, Malaga etc.

Further details
You will be welcomed by the owners with drinks and tapas and provided with a welcome pack including bread, butter, jam, eggs, milk, fruit juice, water, selection of fruit, wine, beer, tea, coffee, sugar, salad oil and vinegar and a selection of condiments.

Booking notes
We are very flexible and do not specify arrival or departure days/times. A 20% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and final payment is required 6 weeks prior to arrival. A booking form will be e-mailed to you and after we receive this a confirmation letter will be sent to you with full details and directions of how to find us etc.
