Recently renovated, the house offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a large roof terrace. The front door opens onto a high-ceilinged entrance hall, with wood burning stove. Accommodation downstairs comprises two double bedrooms and one bathroom. There is also a triple garage. The stairs lead up to an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, with beautiful views on three sides. There is a wood-burning stove in the sitting area, and double doors to the roof terrace. The landing leads to the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and double doors to the roof terrace. The house is situated at the top of the small village of Mairena, on the slopes of the Alpujarras. Mareina is on the GR7 walking route. The village is on the edge of a Parque Natural and close to the Sierra Nevada National Park. The village has two small shops and a bar and is within a few miles of local restaurants and bars in neighbouring towns of Laroles, Valor and Yegen.

30 minutes from nearest cross country skiing resort at Puerto de la Ragua. 1 hr 45 mins from main skiing resorts outside Granada.
Travel
Airports at Granada and Almeria are approximately 1 hour 45 minutes drive. Malaga airport is 3 hours drive. Car hire is essential and cars can be hired from the airports.
Distances
The towns of Laroles, Valor, Mecina Alfajar and Yegen are all within 10 km and have plenty of bars and restaurants. The town of Ugijar is 10km away, and has a good fresh food market and supermarkets.
