Casa Bonita was built in 2000 and is terraced on 2 sides for shade. The villa is open plan with spacious living accommodation and is designed to be cool in summer. Set in one and a half acres of garden: there are extensive flower beds, fruit and olive trees. Relax by the private 8x4m swimming pool and enjoy the beautiful views and atmospheric night lighting. During 2010 the owners have refitted the kitchen and completely retiled the interior of the property.

The above prices are based on 2 people sharing - for 3/4 persons please add £50.00 per week. Discounts available for long out of season lets.

Changeover day
We can be flexible depending on our other bookings (please check availability chart) but prefer a Saturday for changeovers when possible and during the peak months of Jul/Aug. Departures by 10am and arrivals after 3.30pm please unless otherwise arranged.

Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with walk-in shower, WC, bidet and hand basin.
Kitchen: Large well equipped kitchen with free-standing gas cooker and hob, double terracotta sink, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster etc.
Living Rooms: Large open plan lounge with settee and two rocking chairs, dining table and chairs, flat screen TV for DVD player and CD player. There is a cosy log burner and supplementary heating for those cooler evenings.

linen/maid service:
Bed linen, house towels and tea towels are provided (not pool towels). The villa is cleaned weekly and the linen changed at the same time.

Notes on accommodation
Fans are provided in each bedroom. There is a hairdryer. A cot can be provided on request. During 2010 the Owners have refitted the kitchen and completely retiled the interior of the property.

Accessibility
The villa is on one level and has no internal steps. The double entrance door would enable wheelchair access but, although of a reasonable size, the entrance to the bathroom could be awkward for a wheelchair user.

Outside
The new 8x4m private pool (1.8m deep end) is set in front of the house and has 3m of tiling all around, offering extensive sunbathing areas. The Oleanders, cacti, roses and geraniums around the pool have matured, making this a beautiful and private area with lovely views. There are 4 quality sunloungers, umbrella, table and chairs. The pool and surrounding lighting is a feature and makes evenings spent under the stars a really special experience.

Coast/Beach
The beautiful 10km long lake at Zahara is less than 10 mins drive away and you can swim and hire canoes/kayaks. Beautiful, quiet, sandy beaches at and along the coast from Cadiz - 1½ hour’s drive. Marbella, San Pedro and other coastal resorts 1.5 - 2 hours away.

Travel
Malaga airport is one and a half hour's drive and Jerez and Seville are about 1 hour's drive from the villa. Car hire is essential.

Distances
The famous Pueblos Blancos (white villages) are virtually on our doorstep. Algodonales and El Gastor are 5km and Olvera and Setinel 14km: where there are supermarkets, banks, restaurants, ventas, bars etc. Ronda, with its famous viaduct/gorge, bullring and lots of restaurants and shops is only 20mins drive. Seville is about an hour away, Granada just over 2 hours and Cordoba about 2 and a half hours drive. Grazalema National Parque is renowned for its walks, variety of wild flowers and birds.

Further details
Internet access is available in the local village of Algodonales. Bicycles can be hired to cycle the local 36km Via Verde (a network of disused railway tracks throughout Andalucia). There are caves that can be visited approx 20km away. Information about local horse riding and paragliding can be supplied.

Booking notes
When you have agreed the dates required you will be notified by email that those dates are on hold pending receipt of 25% deposit, which will guarantee the booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival, when you will receive directions and information.

We are Lyn and Pete Porter and have 4 grown up children.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
After a holiday in Frigliana with our good friend in 2003 we fell in love with Andalucia. We all returned in the November and searched from Cadiz to Almeria - we knew as soon as we drove into Grazelema and Ronda that this was the area for us. We spend most of our holidays here and love it - it is a place to relax, walk, bird watch, read, swim, play games and stay up late poolside under the stars with a good bottle of Rioja. Our daughter honeymooned here last year! It is also very accessible to many other interesting and lovely places - we still have not visited them all! The local Spanish people are very friendly and helpful.
