'Villa L'Ametlla' is situated on the coast close to the peaceful fishing village of L'Ametlla de Mar. Within walking distance of several sandy secluded beaches yet within half and hour’s drive of the Universal Studio Park of Portaventura which is a must for the children. You can catch a train to Barcelona to shop till you drop or pop to Tarragona to visit the Roman remains. Take a trip into the surrounding mountains to sample the local vino or take a ride along the coast from the local stables. For those interested in nature a visit to the Ebro Delta is a must for birdwatching. L'Ametlla is a working fishing village and is full of old Spanish charm. Sample the local cuisine in the harbour restaurants or watch the local fishermen bring in their catch as the sun goes down in the afternoon. The magnificent Bonmont Golf Course is just along the coast with idyllic views from its club terrace. But why rush around when you can relax by our private pool in the peaceful garden.

About the owner
We are Michael and Ann Anderson and we live in South Wales with our German Shepherd, Basil and our African Grey parrot, Buffy. We have owned our villa in L'Ametlla for 6 years and we spend lots of our spare time in Spain although we are still working part-time. We chose L'Ametlla because we have friends living nearby and it is a typical working fishing village which comes alive during the Summer months. There are a lot of traditional pastimes in this area of Spain, such as wine making and Fiestas. We are quite sport orientated. Mike plays squash whilst I like to jog to the beach or swim and walk. Both of us belong to our local gym. We have three young grandchildren who find the villa great fun as it is suitable for children of all ages. children of all ages.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The Costa Dorada has lots to offer everyone who visits. Our villa is in a quiet area on the outskirts of a small fishing village. However there are lots of lively pursuits to fit all tastes. Salou has lots of nightlife and the Universal Studios theme park of Port Adventura is within half and hours drive. Lots of sightseeing and places of interest are available by train and car in Barcelona, Tarragona and Valencia. Whereas traditional Spanish pastimes are available locally such as wine tasting, fiestas, fine dining and beach sports.The Ebre Delta is also a must for birdwatching and a visit to a natural park. L'Ametlla is ideal for a relaxing holiday within driving distance of many places of historic and traditional pursuits.

Unique benefits of the property
You can, walk, jog or drive to many beautiful beaches whilst staying at the villa. During the summer months beach cafes/bars are open on the main beaches. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the villa and many more are situated in the surrounding towns and villas.
