Notes on accommodation
This old stone villa was restored three years ago. Mixing beautiful contemporary design with old stone aesthetics the villa offers a spacial living space with cozy wings that contain the sleeping quarters. A separate wing contains a classic pool tame and games room. Modern living includes WIFI access, 48 inch plasma TV, DVD etc.

Further details
Restaurants and bars are all easily accessed from the villa. The village of Roo has a main street (500m walk) with bars and a couple of restaurants. For a wider choice you can take a 5minute car ride to Outes, or 10 mins to the bustling market town of Noia.

1) The villa was fab spacious and comfortable as a two family dwelling and had obviously been put together with a lot of thought and visual flair! Loved the garden and the beautiful pool (Our two 5 year olds learnt to swim!) Most of all IŽll miss those stunning views.
2) Thoroughly re-energised! How could one not be with the spectacular views when you wake up in the morning! My two children (6 &3) have loved it, particularly the horseriding, which they had never done before! Fabulous house, great location and superlative hosts! What more could you ask for?
3) We had a wonderful time, the area is as lovely as the house and its view. We have rented many villas and this is truthfully one of the most beautiful and well restored.
Because the immediate surroundings are so nice, we spent most of the time there, going for long walks in the woods, which are well worth exploring. The swimming pool and pool table were well used, so was the boules green (bumpy but fun!)

About the owner
My partner is from Galicia and we moved here some five years ago. A beach lover at heart, I fell in love with the fantastic coastline of the Ria de Muros y Noia. Amazing beaches void of tourists and a stunning coastline. Unable to afford London prices we were originally looking to buy and live in this region. But after our first restoration project we decided to see if there was a market for renting it out in the summer months. We were pleasantly surprised by the response, not only to our renovations of beautiful old stone houses but also for families wanting old fashioned quality summer holidays. We haven't looked back and we enjoy living in the region.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
This was our second restoration project. Fate smiled upon us as it was in the same village and just 50 meters from the first house. Such was the success of our first house, it seemed a natural next step for us. This second project was just asking for a new life, an enormous atrium style house that hadn't been used for 30 years. This project was asking for a different style and we are very pleased with the results.
The village of Roo is only 5kms from the coast and is beautifully tucked away on a little hill that backs into an enormous forest. Its a real throw back to traditional Spanish living and yet we´re only 30 minutes from Santiago. So we get an amazingly peaceful place to stay with absolute privacy and yet we can still just pop in to Santiago and the local towns should we need to.
Unique benefits of the property
For us, its the absolute peace that you enjoy when staying at the house, all you can hear is the small river below and the wildlife. We have a big hairy dog who loves his walks in the forest and on the beaches. Its all a part of being closer to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Ria has dozens of wonderful beaches and you can simply choose one to be your own for the day. And yet if we feel like a shopping trip or a night out, we can be in the wonderful medieval city of Santiago within 30 minutes.
