The villa is a tranquil rustic finca with three acres of orchard, has its pool on a terrace with spectacular views. Sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms. On 2 floors with lounges on each level and a large playroom it also has a first-floor terrace and 2 other patios as well as parking for several cars. It is ideal for 2 families or an extended family holiday but is also suitable for a large golfing group.

Changeover day
Bookings are generally Saturday to Saturday with only rare exceptions.

| Living Rooms: | Both lounges are about over 30 feet long and can seat 6/10 each. The top-floor lounge has a fireplace and the TV (satellite) while the downstairs one has a dining table which can seat up to 14. Wireless broadband access has been set up. |
| Other: | There is a large play room, another dining room and a huge store room ideal for large amounts of golfing or polo equipment. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and towels are provided and the property is given a clean once a week on Saturdays, when the linen is also changed. Pool towels are not provided, so guests need to bring their own. |
Notes on accommodation
The pool is down a terrace from the house and therefore may not be suitable for the infirm. It is a rural property with access to large areas of land so there will always be dangers for inquisitive children. Of course this is also one of its special features as it has so much space both inside and outside the house. It also has a special rural charm with interesting places to explore and alternative places to eat or relax in.

No adaptations for special mobility needs.
Outside
The pool is down a terrace from the house and is oval-shaped and about 4 x 8m with the shallow end being shallow enough for young children to stand in. Pool chairs and a floodlight which can be manually plugged in are provided. There is an upstairs balcony and 2 ground-floor patios with tables, chairs and BBQ. There is also a child's swing. As well as the large orchards there is a grass area at the front of the house and parking for several cars.
Coast/Beach
The villa is about 12km from the beaches. Sotogrande is the closest. Tarifa's windsurfing stretches of sand and beach are about half an hour away to the west. San Pedro de Alcantara and Marbella about half an hour to the east.
Golf
There are 7 golf courses within about 15 mins drive, many designed by the same person! These include Valderama (Robert Trent Jones 18 holes par 72), Alcaidesa (coastal links course 18 holes par 72). Sotogrande (first European Robert Trent Jones one 18 holes par 72), San Roque Club (Dave Thomas/Tony Jacklin 18 holes par 72), La Canada (Robert Trent Jones 9 hole municipal course), La Duquesa (Robert Trent Jones 18 holes par 72), Estepona Golf at Sabanillos (18 holes par 72).
Travel
Gibraltar Airport is less than 30 mins drive away while Malaga is just over an hour away as is Jerez airport. A car is very highly recommended due to the nature of the area, even though the village is only 1km down the road.
Distances
The local village with its shops and restaurants is only 1km away. Sotogrande and the marina are just a few mins drive away. There are also 7 golf courses, riding stables, several polo fields and many beaches within 15 mins drive. The ‘white villages’ of Casares and Gaucin and The Rhonda gorge make great day trips. So do trips to Morocco or Gibraltar or the windsurfing paradise of the Tarifa beaches.

I try to leave lots of information or brochures of local interest at the villa (though many of these disappear of course).
Booking notes
I ask for a deposit of around 25% to hold a booking, with the balance due 5 weeks before the date of the holiday. I also ask for £100 returnable deposit which will be returned at the end of the holiday assuming there has been no major damage. We do request that people leave the house by 10am and do not arrive before 4pm to allow time for the cleaning of such a large house.
