When you arrive at the Hotel Aiguaclara, you will be greeted by your hosts Clara and Joan, who will take great pleasure in showing you their hotel. They put their hearts and souls into the restoration of this elegant townhouse, drawing out every nuance of more than a century of history; the magnificence of the original town mansion, the faded glory of the middle years and the return to being a place of beauty as a hotel and restaurant. Throughout the hotel there are high ceilings, beautiful floors, tall elegant windows flooding the rooms with light and simple stylish furnishings that allow the rooms to speak for themselves. Each of the ten rooms is totally individual, decorated in a modern style yet totally in keeping with its origins, and with all the conveniences that one might require. New for 2007 is a cool lounge with another patio just off it. Situated just two streets from the centre of Begur, the bars and restaurants are just a short stroll away.

Notes on accommodation
In each of the 10 rooms, there are heating, air-conditioning, TV, satellite TV, hair-dresser, welcome amenities.
In all rooms is possible to put an extra bed for a third person. And in 3 of the rooms is also possible to put 2 extra beds (rooms for 4 people).

Outside
The hotel has a nice restaurant, in the old garden, covered with a glass pergola. You can enjoy a fantastic Mediterraean meal, tasting our taste menu. There are two sitting rooms, both with an honesty bar, where you can drink what you like during 24 hours. We also have a back-side patio, fantastic for relaxing after the beach or a hard golf journey, having a drink or reading your favourite book.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach, Sa Riera, is 3 minutes drive from the village. In summer there is a bus that goes to this beach and Aiguablava. In 10-15 minutes drive you have other 10 beaches (sand beaches, stones beaches, nudist beaches), where you can enjoy the sun and the sea, and also a Spanish meal contemplating the skyline.

Golf
We are 15 minutes drive from 3 of the best golf courses of Costa Brava - Emporda Golf, Golf Serres de Pals, Golf Platja de Pals. We have special rates for our guests in all of them.

Travel
Girona Airport is 50 minutes driving. You can fly there with Ryanair. Barcelona Airport is 1h. 45m driving. Palamos port is 20 minutes driving. Is recommeded to hire a car.

Distances
Within a radius of 30 minutes driving round the village there are a lot of fantastic little medieval villages, like Peretallada, Pals, Ullestret, Palau Sator, Cruilles, Monells, Madremanya.
In Figueres, 45 minutes driving from Begur, there is Dali Museum, open all year.
Also if you stay with us, some days you can drive to Barcelona, 1 hour and a half driving, and enjoy one of the more popular cities in the world.

Further details
In our area, you also can do a lot of activities like, cycle touring, hiking, diving, snorkeling, horse riding, quads, kayack, wind-surfing.

Booking notes
For bookings we request a credit card number, and it's expiry date as a guarantee. For summer bookings we request a prepayment of 50%.
Cancellation policy - cancellation 30 days or more before check-in: we give back 100% prepayment. Cancellation 16-29 days before check-in: we give back 50% prepayment. Cancellation 08-15 days before check-in: we give back 25% prepayment. Cancellation 7 days or less before cehck-in: the full deposit is forfeited.

'Aiguaclara was just fantastic. We spent ages on the internet trying to find a typical Spanish hotel and this is it. Beautiful building, great hosts and fantastic food in the restaurant(treat yourself!). Plenty of restaurants and bars in Begur itself and the hotel is 2 mins walk from the main square. Gorgeous beaches 10min drive. We will definately go back one day. Barcelona is just 2 hrs drive south so it makes a great place to stay if you want a few quiet days away from the bustle of the city.'
