Further details
The city of Granada is quite rightly thought of as one of the great cities of Spain with its stunning backdrop of the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada and watched over by the magnificent Moorish Alhambra palace. Many days can be spent here exploring the different areas of the city and lovers of fine architecture will be spoilt for choice.
A leisurely day can be spent touring round the Alhambra and its environs; the medieval streets of the Albaicin (Moorish quarter) is home to many cobble stoned streets and traditional craftsmen with squares in which to enjoy the atmosphere and take things that little bit easier. The Sacromonte area is where you will find many flamenco shows and throughout the city tapas bars open their doors to tempt you with a glass of wine perhaps accompanied by tasty tapas.
