A lovely house, converted from a village bodega. The house has been designed to enable 6 people to stay in comfort, with a large lounge, and inside and outside dining for 6. A perfect house for both summer and winter visits with the traditional walls providing coolness in summer, two wood burning stoves and underfloor heating in the kitchen diner, both bathrooms and master bedroom providing heating in winter. The property is in a quiet area of the Upper Barrio of Albunuelas with great walking from the door, within 2 minutes of leaving the house you can be walking between the fincas.

| Bedrooms: | The bedrooms are downstairs keeping them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Bedroom 1 - king size bed, wardrobe, mirror and wood burner. Bedroom 2 - twin beds, hanging space and a full length mirror. Bedroom 3 - twin beds, wadrobe and mirror. |
| Bathrooms: | Downstairs is a feature bathroom with an Andalucian huge shower area / bath, toilet, handbasin and inset mirror. Upstairs is a shower room with toilet, handbasin and traditional tiled mirror. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen contains all the equipment you will need on your holiday, including a full size oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a table and chairs in the kitchen for 6. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge is a large room with spectacular beamed ceiling. There are 2 three seater sofas, a wood burning stove, built in bookshelves containing the 'Book Exchange' and board games, a TV, a DVD player and a stereo with connections for your MP3 player. |

Towels and linen are included. Cleaning is provide pre and post stay. Cleaning during the stay can be arranged at extra cost. |
Notes on accommodation
The property has 2 wood burning stoves, one in the lounge and one in the master bedroom. The kitchen/diner, both bathrooms and the master bedroom have underfloor heating. The two twin bedrooms have radiators for winter use. Due to the spiral starcase we would not recommend this to be suitable for young children.

Accessibility
As with many traditional Spanish village houses there is not car access to the door. Whilst this provides a quiet holiday environment we feel it is necessary to point out that car parking is an easy 2 minute stroll away.
Outside
The house has three outside areas, a courtyard and two roof terraces. The courtyard leads through double doors from the master bedroom and is shaded by vines and a jasmine plant. One roof terrace is accessed from the kitchen, and this terrace has a barbeque and a table and chairs for 6.
The second roof terrace is accessed by a spiral staircase leading from the barbeque terrace, this second terrace gets sun from early morning to late afternoon, and has sun loungers for your use complete with views over the village and down the valley.
Coast/Beach
The Costa Tropical coast is around a 45 minute drive away, with the town of Salobrena and its fantastic fish restaurants well worth a visit. It is also possible to reach the reservoir, Embalse de los Bermejales via a forest track in around 30 minutes, which has restaurants and beaches surrounding it.
Golf
There are three golf courses available in the local area, Santa Clara golf south of Granada, Granada Golf south east of Granada, and Los Moriscos in Motril, a 45 minute drive away on the coast.
Travel
Granada Airport 60km, 45 minutes. Malaga Airport 180km, 2 hours. Almeria Airport 150km, 2 hours.
Car hire is recommended, but it is possible to use the local regular bus service to visit other villages the coast and Granada, and is very easy to arrange transport from Granada airport to the village.
Distances
Costa Tropical 45km, 45 minutes. Granada 40km, 40 minutes. Lanjaron (Alpujarras) 20km, 30 minutes.
Further details
The village of Albunuelas has 5 traditional village bars, 3 supermarkets, 2 bakers, a pharmacist, and a bank branch. All of the bars serve tapas with drinks, and 2 serve full meals, the fish restaurants of the coast are within a 45 minute drive, and Granada with it's many attractions, including the Alhambra, is 40 minutes in the other direction! A fish van visits the village regularly and there is a market on Thursdays.
Horse riding can be arranged with a local company based in the village, and there is walking all around the area, many walks can be started from the front door of the property, and we have provided maps and information about these walks.
In the winter the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is a 1 and a half hour drive away, enabling a day or two of skiing during a weeks holiday.
