The apartment is very spacious, with a large sitting and dining room and 4 bedrooms, as well as a balcony overlooking the beach. This is an ideal base for a beach holiday, with Canelas beach one minute walk away and many other beautiful Galician beaches within a few miles. The apartment builiding has 6 properties within its own fenced grounds which provide a safe environment for children to play in. All other apartments are normally occupied by Spanish families, so this is a true Spanish holiday. Portonovo, the nearby fishing village, has many restaurants and tapas bars with excellent prices and great quality food (shellfish and seafood particularly), supermarkets, a traditional fishmarket, a veg market and many shops. This is an excellent base to explore Galicia, with daily boat trips from Portonovo or Sanxenxo to the nature reserve islands Cíes and Ons, 40 minutes drive to the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela and many beautiful beaches and fishing ports nearby.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday, but this is flexible. Property must be vacated by 11 am on departure date, and can be entered after 15.00.

Notes on accommodation
This is a very safe area for children, with fenced grounds for children to play in and very little traffic.
Accessibility
The property is at first floor level on one side and ground level the other side. Access is on the ground level, with 2 steps (no ramp). There are no other obstacles, other than the 2 steps, for people with mobility problems to negotiate.

Coast/Beach
Coast and Canelas beach is 1-2 minute walk away. Canelas is a white sandy beach, a quarter mile long, with tranquil waters ideal for swimming and windsurfing.
Travel
The nearest airports are Santiago de Compostela (SCQ) and Vigo, which are both 45 minutes drive away (around 80 km).
Distances
Nearest village is Portonovo, 1 km away. This is a fishing village with many bars, tapas bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and local markets, as well as indoor swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis club and all facilities. Sanxenxo is 3 km away, with a state of the art sailing port (start to the Volvo Ocean Race) and many exclusive boutiques and shops.
Santiago de Compostela is 45 minutes drive away, and Vigo, Pontevedra, Cíes and Ons islands and La Toxa luxury island are all day trips.

Portonovo, 1 km away, has many shops, restaurants and bars, a tennis club, indoor swimming pools and gymnasiums. There are also several banks, bakeries, sailing and surfing shops, etc.
