Casa Melon is a well equipped 2-bedroomed villa which forms part of a small exclusive development on Chumbera Hill in Nerja, which is 45 minutes drive from Malaga Airport. From the terrace with its own built-in barbecue, there are uninterupted views over the shared swimming pool, across the valley to the mountains and the sea. Beautiful Burriana Beach is only 7 minutes walk away whilst Nerja town centre is 5 minutes away by car. The swimming pool is only a few yards from the villa, via the terrace steps down to the small walled garden and through the wrought iron gate. Each of the bedrooms is equipped with 2 single beds, a fan and a heater (useful during the winter). The bathroom has a bath and a shower. The kitchen area has an oven with ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. The lounge has 2 sofas (1 is a sofa bed), a dining table with 6 chairs, a stereo system and satellite TV with 26 channels. It is also equipped with a fan and an infrared fire.

Changeover day
There is no set changeover day. Departure is normally 10am unless prior arrangements have been made to extend this.

Towels, including beach towels, linen, electricity and maid service are all included. The property is cleaned before and after occupation but a weekly clean can be arranged for a small additional charge. Linen is changed each week. |
Accessibility
Whilst all the accommodation is on 2 floor, there is a flight of steps to climb to reach the front of the property.
Outside
There is a sheltered area to the front of the property which provides an ideal spot to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. The terrace at the back overlooks the pool and catches the sun until lunchtime. There is a built-in barbecue on the terrace. The shared swimming pool and is fully equipped with shower, sun loungers and matresses plus sun umbrellas.
Coast/Beach
Burriana is a beautiful half mile sweep of sand with safe bathing, toilet and shower facilities plus numerous bars and restaurants, some of which cook fish and paella on the barbecue outside. This beach can be reached within 7 or 8 minutes by walking out of the back gate of the complex and down the hill. The hill is quite steep so it does take longer coming back! Alternatively, there is easy access by car with parking near the beach.
Golf
Baviera Golf Course, par 71, 5828 yards, is some 15 minutes drive away. The course is suitable for players of all standards and offers fantastic views over the sea and to the mountains inland. Clubs, bags and golf buggies can be hired.
Travel
Malaga Airport is 45 minutes drive away. A car is not essential but very useful, particularly with young children. There is a bus service from Malaga to Nerja, with a shuttle service from the airport to the bus station. If travelling by taxi, it is cheaper to pre-book rather than use one from the airport rank. There is a local bus service which runs close by Chumbera Hill into Nerja town centre. The journey takes 10 mins and costs around 1 euro. There are 2 taxi ranks in Nerja.
Distances
The famous Nerja caves are a 5 minute drive away, Granada an hour and a half and Seville, three hours. Nerja town centre can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. The beautiful village of Frigilliana, in the hills above Nerja can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
Further details
There is an excellent supermarket nearby (10 mins walk or 3 mins drive). There are some shops plus a cash point down the hill by Burriana Beach, which also has a good choice of bars and restaurants. Nerja town centre has a tourist information centre, banks, shops and stores plus a tremendous selection of bars and restaurants.
Booking notes
A £50 deposit is required at time of booking. This is retained as a breakage deposit and returned after the holiday, once the property has been checked out, assuming that there have been no breakages. The full rental monies are due one month before the rental period starts.
