La Estrella is a luxury private complex on a quiet residential road in the cosmopolitan town of Albir. It is 8 minutes walk to the beach and a couple of minutes walk to supermarkets, shops, bars and a wide range of restaurants. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It especially caters for young families, including a highchair and a travel-cot etc.

Accessibility
The single level apartment is on the 1st floor, with a lift from the ground floor to the 1st floor and the underground garage. It has been used by wheelchair users in the past.

Coast/Beach
The complex is an 8 minutes level stroll to the beach where there is a wonderful promenade, with many restaurants and bars facing the sea. It is a 10 minute drive to the several large sandy beaches of Benidorm, with all of its shops and nightlife - there is even a ferry available to take you over to Ibiza! It is a 20 minute drive to the large sandy beaches and port at Calpe, with numerous seafood restaurants.
Golf
Local golf range a couple of minutes walk from the apartment.
Travel
Albir is 45 minutes drive from Alicante airport, where there are a large number of car hire companies in the arrivals hall. Car hire is not essential as a bus is available from just outside of Alicante airport, or a taxi can be arranged if required. The local bus service in Albir can take you easily, quickly and cheaply into Altea, Alfaz, Benidorm and Calpe.
Distances
10 minutes drive into Altea for the local market, the old town and the renowned church.
10 minutes drive to 4 theme parks sited around Benidorm.
5 minutes drive into Alfaz for the local market.
Further details
Albir is a wonderfully central place to vacation in, being so close to mountain towns and coastal resorts, and is still itself a small, yet cosmopolitan town with everything you should need locally.
The apartment includes a folder full of information about places to see and things to do, along with recommendations of local restaurants.
Booking notes
A deposit of £100 against breakages is payable on booking, with the full rental paid 8 weeks before arrival. The deposit will be returned directly after the apartment has been cleaned and checked following your departure.
Guest comments
The apartment was all we could have wished for and more. It is well situated, clean and comfortable and gives the feeling of being given the loan of someone’s own home. The second bathroom was very useful when preparing to go out to the many and varied restaurants within a short walk. Thanks for all your extra help with some of the pre-arrival arrangements. The reading material and the English DVD/CDs available in the apartment all helped to make the holiday more enjoyable. About the owner
I live in England with my husband, 8 year old son and a cairn terrier x. I'm a cook in a local school and my husband works in IT. We love Spain and especially Albir but still love to travel and explore the rest of the world.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We did a allocation on arrival holiday to be able to have a look around the Costa Blanca with the aim of looking at properties around Mar Menor and Playa Flamenca. We actually were allocated Albir Gdns. After a bad start and taking a left out of Albir gdns and ending up on the Altea road with a few dodgy bars we found the beach and then fell in love with the town. We have never looked back and every time I leave Albir I can't wait to go back. Albir is small but busy enough with enough to keep you entertained with numerous good restaurants and bars. The promenade is lovely to walk along of an evening. Albir also holds a film festival every July. It is close to Benidorm and all the attractions. You can also walk to Altea which has the most photographed church in Spain.

The apartment has a home from home feel with a large selection of books, music and films. It is also family friendly with a range of beach equipment for your use.
We are also just across the road from the new Sunday market in Albir.
