Our home is a modern 2 bedroom townhouse situated frontline to the new 18 hole golf course at Alcaidesa, with its own gardens along with large private roof terrace and access to landscaped gardens and communal pool area. There is also private secure parking. The house is one of only 42 on the small exclusive development at Green Valley, overlooking the golf course (front and back), with spectacular views over ancient cork forest to the mountains and sea. Next to our home are the resorts of San Roque, Soto Grande, Valderamma and Alcaidesa which are known for their world famous golf courses, spectacular marina and first rate equestrian facilities (horse riding and polo). Just up the coast lie the more developed resorts of Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella, while in the opposite direction you encounter Gibraltar famous for its 'rock' and Tariffa renowned for its wind and kitesurfing beaches, along with its whale watching trips and excursions to North Africa.

Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge, 4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded, 2-4 weeks – 25% of rate refunded, less than 2 weeks – no refund.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Check in time on the day of arrival is anytime after 3pm. Subject to bookings an earlier time could be agreed. Check out time on the day of departure is 10am.

En-suite bathroom to bedroom 2 - with sink, walk in shower and wc.
Downstairs - separate wc.
Kitchen: Separate fully equipped kitchen, with lovely view over the front garden - electric cooker and hob, extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board.
Living Rooms: Spacious open plan lounge and dining room with French doors leading off the lounge to the rear garden and golf course beyond. Seating and dining for up to 6 people. TV, DVD and CD player. Double sofa bed. Full air-conditioning throughout house.
Other: From the first floor landing, stairs lead to a further landing that takes you out onto a large private roof terrace to rear of the house, which enjoys beautiful views to the mountains and sea. There is a patio table, chairs and sunloungers to relax on
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bedlinen and towels are included with the exception of beach towels. If you require any cleaning or linen changes during your stay this can be arranged at an extra cost. Beach towels can be hired on arrival.

Welcome packs can be ordered ready for your arrival to ensure you have the basic essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, water, bread, cereal etc.
A full shopping service can also be provided, just let us know what food/drinks you require and we can ensure that it is waiting for you.

Outside
Close to home - you can choose to relax in the garden, admire the views from the roof terrace, take a swim in the shared pool, or wander down to the beach. There is a stunning unspoilt 4km stretch of beach (blue flag) close to the house with 2 really good beach restaurants or 'Chiringuitos' as they are known with stunning views across to the Rock of Gibraltar and the Rif Mountains in North Africa.

Coast/Beach
Alcaidesa is known for its stunning unspoilt 4km stretch of beach (blue flag) which has uninterrupted views across to the Rock of Gibraltar and the Mountains in North Africa. The beach is a peaceful 5 minute drive down the headland into Alcaidesa from the house.

Golf
Between the beach and home is prime golf ground, with the existing Alcaidesa Links Golf Course and a new 18 hole course designed by Dave Thomas due to open in July/August 2007. Both of these share a new purpose built clubhouse making the most of the views, being perched on the headland overlooking both courses with 360 degree panorama and offering excellent practice, changing and restaurant facilities.
Clubs, buggy and trolley hire. Driving range with 72 covered positions. Practice area with putting green, bunkers and approach. Golf school for adults and children.
Within 10 minutes drive from the house you can access some of Europes finest courses at San Roque, Almenara, Sotogrande, and Valderamma or head back up the coast where in excess of a further 50 courses await you!

Travel
A number of cheap flights are available via Easyjet, Jet2, BMI Baby, Thomson Fly from most UK airports to Malaga airport which is only 60 minutes drive away. Monarch Airlines and British Airways also offer good value flights to Gibraltar airport which is approxiamately 20 minutes drive away.
Excellent car rental facilities are available at Malaga airport, which you can book on arrival, but in order to benefit from the best price deals, it is best to book online via the internet.

Distances
There are a number of local restaurants that we have learnt of and the food has been excellent, these vary from authentic Spanish dishes served at a converted Cortijo, to local tapas bars and seafood restaurants in Sotogrande.
Only 5 minutes drive towards Sotogrande is a large well stocked supermarket and shopping arcade which provides you with the option of buying provisions for a few home cooked meals or breakfasts, should you prefer to cater for yourself!

Further details
Our home at Green Valley forms part of the town known as Alcaidesa which lies between Marbella and Gibraltar and is set along the more rugged and far less developed western end of the Costa del Sol, enjoying beautiful Mediterranean views and good beaches. The house is on a very small development and offers a tranquill setting from which to base your holiday. Whether you want to relax and enjoy the sun, explore the historic sites, play several rounds of golf, horse ride, charter a boat, walk, windsurf or whale watch, the house offers an ideal base from which to access all of these.
In addition to the great access to golf the house also provides a base from which you can access:
Horse riding - there are 4 top class equestrian facilities close to the house, San Roque and Sotogrande are only 10 minutes away and offer hacking, flatwork and jumping lessons. Sotogrande is also renowned for its polo team and competitions are held throughtout the summer months. Polo lessons can also be arranged. Estepona is approx 35 minutes away and offers some of the largest facilities, for flatwork and jumping lessons and also hold regular dressage and showjumping competitions at weekends which you can enjoy watching from the bar.
Out and about - depending on the type of holiday you like you can visit the busier resorts of La Duquesa, Estepona, Peurto Banus and Marbella with their shopping centres and many restaurants, all of which are only about 35 minutes drive away. Or drive south to explore Gibraltar and Cadiz or head inland to explore the historic delights of Jerez, Ronda, Benahavis and Casares.
Further down the coast (45mins) brings you to the town of Tariffa, famous for its "wind" and long beaches. The drive to Tariffa is spectacular and once there you can windsurf, kitesurf or sail. From here you can also take a trip across to Tangiers in North Africa or book onto a morning or afternoon whale and dolphin watching trip.

Booking notes
Booking deposit of £100 required with each booking (non refundable). Full payment to be made within 8 weeks of start of booking. If the booking is less than 8 weeks away, full payment will be required at the time of the booking. A fully refundable damage deposit will also be required at the time of full payment.
We are happy to consider mid week breaks or long weekends depending on the time of year and availability. We are happy to consider long lettings, please call to discuss.
