Accessibility
Apart from five or six steps up to the main entranceway, the apartment has easy access as it is all on one level with the garden easily accessible. There is a lift to the apartment which makes transportation of suitcases so much easier!

Outside
The apartment is situated in a quiet and peaceful location within the marina and has a large south facing private garden ideal for sunbathing and barbecues. The lawn beyond reaches directly up to the marina boat moorings and has stunning views across the marina. The patio within the garden has a large outdoor dining table and chairs seating 6 together with sun-loungers.

Coast/Beach
Sotogrande Marina has three sandy beaches within walking distance of the apartment and other local beaches are a short 10-15 minute drive away. Sotogrande also boasts two beach clubs (El Cucurucho and El Octogono) that provide swimming pools, sunbathing and tennis/paddle. These are a short walk or 5 minutes drive from the apartment.

Golf
Sototogrande has 5 excellent golf courses including the world class Club de Golf Valderama, home of the European Volvo Masters and the '97 Ryder Cup course. Completing list are The Almenara, La Canada, Club Real and La Reserva, giving even the most demanding golfers a great selection of courses to play. All these clubs are located within a 5-10 minute drive of the apartment.

Skiing
Yes – Skiing is possible this far south! The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains are approx. 2.5 hrs drive. The best months to ski are January to March.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for people interested in playing golf, polo and tennis together with a great selection of watersports including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing etc.

Travel
Via Gibraltar - very chose! It is about a 20 minute drive on the motorway to Sotogrande. For convenience, take a 5 minute walk through border control onto the Spanish side with your luggage and hire a car there. This saves queing in the car to cross over into Spain.
Via Malaga - many airlines fly into Malaga and then its just over an hour's drive on the motorway which is easy and not very busy.
There are several options for car hire. Check Crown, Avis and Europcar for deals.

Distances
Situated in the heart of Sotogrande marina with its array of shops and restaurants. The stylish and chic Puerto Banus is 30 mins away on the road east also Marbella (40 mins). To the west lies Algeciras (20 mins) and 25 mins further is the windsurfing mecca of Tarifa. From Algeciras, there is a ferry across to Morocco (Tangier) or to Cueta. Gibraltar with its duty free shopping, “the rock” and fantastic views is just 20 mins drive from the apartment. The cultural centre of Seville is 1.5hrs away

Sotogrande marina also has two nature reserves nearby with marked walkways.
A large supermarket its 5 minutes drive away for all your needs whilst at the apartment.

I have just returned from the apartment. I stayed there with my Son so we could play golf together. The Valderrama Golf Course was very convenient and just minutes away. We loved the apartment and enjoyed great weather. We will contact Lynne if we go golfing again next year. Gary Waugh, Kent.

We stayed 'off season' in the apartment and found it to be exactly as described. The property is modern, clean, bright, very comfortable and is perfectly situated. Most evenings we dined out locally but were just as happy to stay in and enjoy the apartment. Sitting at the waters edge, within touching distance, and watching the fish was especially enjoyable. I would recommend this apartment, in any season, wholeheartedly.

We very much enjoyed staying at your apartment at Easter. It is very well located on the Sotogrande Marina, with the bedrooms and sitting room opening out to the south-facing garden by the water. Everything is clean and felt new, and very spacious.

About the owner
Paul and I live in Brighton on the South Coast and enjoy being near the sea which is why we decided to buy the apartment in Sotogrande. It's easy to get around without having to get into a car with walks and bike rides near the sea. Paul works in I.T. and I am a self-employed letting agent so it is me who makes all the booking for the apartment! We have an excellent management company in Spain who handle the change-overs and keys for us. We love the apartment and know you will too! It has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, even though there are so many sports in the area to try! We have furnished the apartment with high quality furnishings and it is neutrally decorated throughout. We hope that you will enjoy the apartment as your own home and look after it as we do.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
After looking up and down the Costa Del Sol, we found that Sotogrande had a lovely sophistication about it. Being in an apartment right beside the waters-edge was just a perfect find. The local restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance, so it means that you don't need to get into the car every time you go out. We saw that the local Beach Club and Tennis Courts were also within easy walking distance so its great all round. Sotogrande is a good base to travel around from and its easy to visit lots of local inland and coastal villages without travelling very far. We also wanted to have an apartment that people would enjoy holidaying in as much as we do. A place which has a home from home feel to it but perhaps with much more sunshine!!

Unique benefits of the property
One of the main benefits of the apartment is that you can walk directly out onto the garden and waters-edge from the lounge, kitchen and all three bedrooms! Its just lovely being right in the marina with all the yachts and boats. Away from the apartment its easy to get to two beaches which are within walking distance and the most enormous, very quiet stretch of beautiful beach is just ten minutes drive away. Sotogrande speaks for itself and we love all the sports activities it offers. We don't play tennis in the UK very much but we certainly make the most of it when we are in Sotogrande! The Beach club is very nearby, the tennis courts and lots of golf courses just a short drive away. Another benefit is that the local restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance.
