A beautiful detached house on the outskirts of the ancient village of Fontanar. A feature of this magical 'casa' is that the rear rooms have been cut out of the rock face! This gives a unique holiday experience and a taste of Andalucian rural life which will make your holiday a memorable experience. The lounge boasts a high vaulted ceiling with exposed terracotta tiling. The property has been furnished and decorated with an eclectic mix of antique and contempory furniture. The large and well fenced terrace boasts a Moorish style swimming pool complete with wall fountain. From the front of the property there are views over olive groves and a Roman Aquaduct with the Sierra Nevada mountains as a 'backdrop'! The 'casa' is a 5 min walk to the village with restaurant, bar, shop and bakers. A 10 min. drive takes you to Lake Negratin, with 32kms of shoreline, for swimming, restaurants, thermal springs and stunning scenery. The area is rich in wildlife including Eagles, Vultures and wild Boar.
