Outside
Beautifully kept communal gardens are large, landscaped, secluded. The BBQ area has large seating area. The tennis court is exclusively for the use of the complex. There is a large pool and children's pool too.
Coast/Beach
There are many beautiful beaches in the Bay of Rosas, the nearest is just a 2 minute stroll away, blue flag awarded, gentle sloping and sandy with life guard attendance in main season. There are coastline wooded walks and the promenade all within a short walking distance. Plenty of water sport activities are available in the area, such as diving, snorkelling, water skiing, jet ski hire. Other activities include quad bike hire, excursions in glass bottom boats, hot air ballooning etc.
Golf
There are seven beautiful golf courses within 40 minutes drive of the apartment. 36 hole Emporda course is only 20 minutes drive away. There is also crazy golf nearby!
Travel
The nearest airport is Girona, 45 minutes drive away, served by Ryanair. Barcelona airport is 90 minutes drive, served by various airllines. Perpignan, served by Ryanair, 90 minutes drive away. Taxis can be arranged to and from the airport. Sea ports: Calais 12 hour drive. Train: nearest station is Figueras or Flaca, linking to Lille and the Channel Tunnel. Car hire is not essential but is recommended to experience the beautiful surrounding area. Bicycle hire available locally.
Distances
There are many places of interest to explore locally, i.e. The Greek and Roman ruins at Empuries, picturesque Sant Marti, the Salvador Dali Museum at Figueras, Gala Dali's Castle in Pubol, ceramic shops and ceramic museum in La Bisbal. Aiguamolls wildlife/bird wetland area along the coast, the anchovy museum in L'Escala. Details of places of interest are provided in the apartment.
Further details
L'Escala is well supplied with restaurants to suit all tastes and styles. There is a general market nearby on Sunday morning, and fruit & vegetable market on Thursdays and Sunday.
Booking notes
A 20% non refundable deposit secures the booking, payable by cheque in UK pounds or euro cheque. The balance paid in cash (euros) on arrival. A 200 euros or UK Pounds cash damages deposit is payable on arrival and fully refundable providing no serious damage has occurred to the apartment, and it is left clean and in good order.
