The Cooperage is a modern apartment with large terrace and private garden which is sunny all day. The flat is very spacious, (85m2), is opposite the woods and a children's play park and has a community pool. Ideally situated for active holiday or chill-out. Parking facilities. 5 mins from the shops and beach, 45 mins from Girona capital, 45 mins from Dalí's Figueres, 1.5 hours from Barcelona and an hour from the French border. Also about 3 to 4 hours from Andorra.

Notes on accommodation
Pleasant family apartment/house, on Sol Ric, fully fenced in garden and lovely views down to Pals and the Mediterranean sea. Very nice for children. Not good for younger adults wanting a noisy holiday. As we have a lovely cat, who 'does his own thing', but is fully innoculated and clean and friendly, it is no good for anyone with allergy to cats. This is also a really peaceful retreat for the middle aged (like we are) who are looking for a tranquil holiday in the sun. (Inside the apartment is a smoke free zone!).

Accessibility
A car is needed as we are up a hill, there are easy steps up to the house. The bath has handles fitted to help elderly.
Outside
Large sunny garden, large terrace part in sun and also covered area. 4 sunbeds, table and chairs, BBQ and spacious shared pool.
Coast/Beach
5 minutes by car from clean and long beaches in L'Estartit. 20 minutes from Pals beach and from L'Escala beach.
Golf
10 mins from large golf Emporda, 20 mins from Pals golf club, 10 mins from Gualta pitch and putt, 15 mins from Serra de Pals golf club. Various other large clubs near Figueres, Gerona, Playa D'Aro and also the P.G.A. golf club, all less than an hour away.
Travel
Gerona airport 3/4 hours away, Barcelona airport about one and a half hours away. Car essential.
Distances
3/4 hour from historic Gerona, wonderful old town but also has many good shops and restaurants. 3/4 an hour from Figueres, and the Dalí museum. There are also various beautiful medieval villages close by, including Pals. L'Escala has a very interesting archaeology site where the Phoenicians and Grecians first came to Iberia. Two or three water parks are within easy driving distance, and various tour coaches to Port Aventura.
Further details
Many good restaurants in L'Estartit, and Torroella and a local restaurant within walking distance of house. Shops, supermarkets, (including Llidle) close by. Diving, and other beach activities in L'Estartit.
Booking notes
Telephone or e-mail for booking contract and details of deposit required, etc. Damage deposit of 150 pounds sterling refunded after inspection is passed on departure day subject to cleaning of all facilities, including BBQ, oven etc. bathroom, floors, etc. Balance of rental price is payable in euros, cash on arrrival when picking up keys.

Everybody has been happy here, commenting on the cleanliness, spaciousness, privacy and peaceful location of the property. Our clients have enjoyed the pool, the beach and the countryside and we have been told that our photos do not do the apartment justice! We have enjoyed their company and are delighted at how lucky we have been with all our guests. The cat has been loved by all; that surprised us!
