If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday on the Costa del Sol, close to the beach, but away from the madness, then this is the place for you. Set in a quiet residential area of Benalmadena, but only a short walk to the nearest beach, Jardines de Carvajal is a group of apartments designed more like a typical white-washed, hill-top Andalucian village, rather than a modern holiday complex. It has shaded walkways that are attractively planted and is fronted by sweet-smelling mimosa trees. Carvajal beach is just down the hill from Jardines de Carvajal and is totally unspoilt and quite secluded (there are 2 restaurants/bars), yet you can walk all the way along to Los Boliches and Fuengirola beaches where there is a larger choice of bars and restaurants. The uninterrupted views are amazing and as the balcony faces southwest, you can enjoy the afternoon and early evening sun gazing across the Mediterranean down to Fuengirola with a gin and tonic or sharing a jug of sangria!

Payments can be made by cheque or directly into British bank account (sterling) or Spanish bank account. Payments with credit card thru PayPal considered, but will incur % charge. Rental includes welcome pack on arrival - eg tea, coffee, bread, jam, wine, etc.

Notes on accommodation
Jardines de Carvajal is perfect for families. As well as the main pool, there is a children's pool and children's play area.

Coast/Beach
Just over 5 mins walk to the nearest beach at Carvajal. The world famous Benalmadena Marina is only 15 mins drive away. Paloma Park in Benalmadena is not far away with bars, children’s' play areas, Selwo Park for dolphin shows.
Tivoli Gardens and Fuengirola water park are just a short drive.
Golf
Costa del Sol also known as Costa del Golf. Some fabulous, award-winning golf courses a few minutes drive from the apartments.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada mountain range only 2 hours away. Ski in the morning, sunbathe in the afternoon!
Travel
Malaga airport is 20-25 mins drive away, about €40 -€45 in a taxi. Car is not necessary as all facilities are within walking distance.
Alternatively there is a rail service from Malaga airport to Carvajal train station every 30 minutes. Jardines de Carvajal is about 10 minutes walk from the train station.
Excellent local bus service on the main road.
Fuengirola is within walking distance via the promenade.
Distances
Benalmadena Pueblo, a typical Andalucian white-washed village is a short drive or bus journey away. Torremolinos and Fuengirola are only a few stops on the train. Carvajal train station is 10 minutes walk from the apartment with connections to Malaga town centre and the airport. The train fares are very cheap.
Malaga itself should not be overlooked when visiting the Costa del Sol. It is great for shopping (particularly El Corte Ingles) and has a wonderful food market and Botanical Gardens

Benalmadena Costa and Fuengirola have excellent bars, night clubs, cabaret and dancing venues. There are bars hosting nightly quizzes, karaoke and bingo. Many bars have large screen TVs and show all the main sporting events. At the Puerto Marina which is about 15 mins drive away you will find a great choice of restaurants, bars and nightclubs in fact something to suit all ages and tastes. Tivoli World in Arroyo de La Miel is a Spanish theme park with rides, Flamenco dancing and evening concerts. From here you can take a ride on the cable car to the mountain top and take in the breathtaking views all the way down to the Rock of Gibraltar. Paloma Park in Benalmadena is beautiful to stroll around. There is a large lake and you can see all kinds of wildlife there - cockerels, chickens, rabbits, peacocks to name but a few of creatures that share the park, it is also the home to the Sea Lions and Selwo Dolphins who perform there daily. There are two excellent water parks nearby in Torremolinos and Fuengirola (Mijas Costa) which are easy to get to and a fun day out for all the family. On the beach there are many water sports that you can take part in, including speed-bikes, pedalos and paragliding. Fishing trips are available from the Marina and the Port at Fuengirola and there are also daily boat trips from the marina.
