Within walking distance of a choice of local beaches. There are excellent restaraunts and bars within easy walking distance whilst still being a quiet location. Murcia airport is only a 10 minute drive. The Mar Menor sea is an extremely warm salt-water lagoon, this makes them ideal for small children and adults alike with safe play areas for children. The region is renowned for its therapeutic mud baths which are free, and famed for their healing properties. They are especially suitable for rheumatism, treating bones and skin ailments. The region enjoys approximately 320 days of sunshine a year. The property is situated close to a luxury health spa specialising in therapeutic treatments.

Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Mar Menor are a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk. The beach is very family oriented with children's play area and the water of the lagoon is very shallow and calm making it ideal for kids to play in. Alternatively, the beaches on the Mediteranean are only a 10 minute walk away through an unspoilt nature reserve.
Golf
This area is perfect for golfers as there are 3 championship courses within approx 20 minutes drive.
Special interest holidays
The surrounding area is very flat and as a consequence it is excellent for walking and cycling (bikes can be hired locally). Walk along the nature reserve to the beach with its vast array of migratory bird species including pink Flamingos that come to nest. This is a fantastic opportunity for bird watching. There is easy access to number of other unspoilt beaches on the Mediterranean Sea. San Pedro has all the charm of a Spanish town with its local customs. Along the beach you will find several Therapeutic Mud Banks, renowned for their healing properties. They are especially suitable for rheumatism, treating bones and skin ailments. The use of the mud baths are free. The Health Spa on the complex offers a variety of treatments from massage, gym and a number of pools with varying temeratures and whirl pools. The pools are rich with sea salt enabling you to float without any effort. A very relaxing experience!!
Travel
It is situated a 10 minute drive from Murcia, San Javier airport and approximately 45 minutes from Alicante airport. The area is perfect for walking or cycling as it is very flat. The route to the beach has cycle paths in both directions for the full length from the apartment.
Distances
It is situated within a minutes walk of the nearest supermarket and bars. It is a 5 minute drive to the local town centre or the beach front bars of San Pedro del Pinatar. Alternatively, the night life of La Zenia and Torrevieja is no more than a 15 minute drive away.
Further details
San Pedro is a nice small town which is very Spanish and is nothing like as touristy as a lot of other town in the area. It is a much more traditional Spanish town. There is a row of cafes and bars along the beach front at the Mar Menor where you can sit and relax and enjoy a drink in the sunshine.
