One mile of pebble beach with the old town at the centre. Many other beaches nearby including Cantarrijan naturist beach, Tesorillo sandy beach and Burriana beach in Nerja. Enjoy the catch of the day at one of the many beach bars in La Herradura. You can also try your hand at windsurfing, jetskiing, sailing, kayaking and more!
Golf
Three golf courses with in half hour drive. Moriscos/Motril, Baviera/Torre del Mar and Anoreta.
Skiing
For skiing, the Sierra Nevada is an 80 minute drive. From November to April you can ski in the morning and sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon.

Water sports, golf, tennis, walking, sailing, wind surfing, horse riding, rock climbing, and hang gliding are some of the many activities that are available. La Herradura is the most popular destination for Scuba Diving in Spain and there are courses available for all levels plus boating expeditions for qualified divers.
Travel
40 mins from Malaga airport. 60mins from Granada. Car hire is recommended but transportation can be arranged upon request.
Distances
Almunecar is 5 minutes east, Nerja is 5 minutes west. Malaga is 35 minutes by car and Granada/Alhambra palace is a 1 hour drive.

Myriad of bars, shops and restaurants along the one mile of beach, village is noted for its friendly service and abundance of tapas.
