The sleepy village of Albunuelas is a typical Andalucian village situated in the Lecrin valley and is easily accessible from Granada airport (45 minutes). In the village there are tapas bars, supermarkets, a bakery and a pharmacy. The property is part of a small character development with uninterrupted views over open countryside. There is a communal pool (8.5m - 2.5m) and the views from the 2 terraces are breathtaking. Less than 40 minutes drive away is the modern and thriving city of Granada which caters for every taste. The 2 main coastal resorts Salobreña and Almuñecar are about a 50 mins drive. Also within easy driving distance is the Sierra Nevada, with access during the Winter months to Europe's most southerly ski resort, with facilities including ski hire, on-piste restaurants and ski schools. The village is also ideally located for walking, horse riding, fishing and a number of golf courses exist a short drive away.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are at Salobrena and Almunecar. These are 35 and 45 minute drives respectively. Both resorts are popular with Spanish tourists.

Golf courses can be found in Granada (25 minutes), Otura (20 minutes) opening July 2007 and Motril (30 minutes).
Skiing
A 45 minute journey to skiing and snowboarding in the Sierra Nevada.
Special interest holidays
Good carp fishing in the nearby lake. Permits can be arranged. Horse riding can be arranged from the village.
Good local walks, maps can be arranged.
Travel
Granada Airport is a 40 minute drive. Malaga Airport is 1 3/4 hour's drive. Almeria Airport is 2 1/2 hour's drive. Car hire is advised although there are bus services to the village from Granada. Car hire starts from £15\day - please contact owner for further details.

Durcal a market town is 15 minutes drive away. Granada centre is a 30 minute drive away.

Booking notes
A deposit (non-refundable) of 25% is required with confirmation of booking. Balance is due 42 days before the rental starts. Note a refundable deposit of £100 is required in addition to the balance payment - this will be
refunded subject to an inspection after the duration of the stay. Any cancellation must be notified to us by telephone and confirmed by email by the person who has contracted the holiday. If this occurs more than 30 days before departure only the deposit will be retained by us.
