Recently constructed, these 2 casitas combine modernity and comfort with a traditional Alpujarran style. Set within a little enclave of peace and tranquility, surrounded by mature chestnut trees and with a river flowing along the border. The grounds have a combintaion of young fruit trees and a variety of flowers and shrubs. This is the perfect base for exploring the region and Lanjaron is just a 10 minute walk down the hill and has a good variety of bars, restaurants, shops and banks. 'Casa Luna' has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4/5. 'Casa Sol' has 1 double bedroom and sleeps 2.

The master bedroom has a double bed, two Moroccon styled bedside tables and a lamp. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, a built-in wardrobe and a little desk.
There is a well apointed traditional Moroccon style tiled bathrooom, with bath and shower over the bath.
Opening off the living room, the kitchen is fully equiped with a gas stove with 4 burners, grill and fan oven. There is a long tiled and marble work surface with built-in sink and drainer. Large fridge/freezer. Between the kitchen and the lounge is a table with 4 chairs for indoor dining.
The living room comprises of 3 seater sofa bed, and Morrocon style sofas built into the wall. There is a TV and DVD player. For those winter months there is an antique style wood-burning stove to enjoy cosy evenings by the fire.
Towels and linen included, except for beach/poolside towels. The house is cleaned weekly. Extra cleaning (mid- 2 week lets) available on request.

Outside
Casa Luna has an outside terrace with table and four chairs whilst Casa Sol has a shaded terrace running the length of the house with a table and chairs. The grounds have a variety of peaceful areas to relax. There is a very original pool in the shape of a fish which is large and easy to gain access to.

Coast/Beach
Lanjaron is 35 minutes from the coast and has many excellent beaches within easy access. The nearest is at Salobrena, a pleasant little seaside town with a long beach and a good selection of restaurants and bars. If you continue west towards Malaga you will come accross many beaches, some more secluded ones accessed by dirt roads off the main coast road, others which are slightly more populated like Nerja. There is also an intersting day out to be had at the caves in Nerja.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada ('Sun and snow'!) ski resort is North of Lanjaron towards Granada, an hour and a 10 minutes drive away. It offers a wide range of pistas for all levels, lifts, learning and equipment rental facilities and is highly rated for it's nursery pistes. The season depends on weather conditions, but is generally open from November to April.

Special interest holidays
Juana, the owner, is a qualified yoga instrucor and theapeutic masseuse and may be able to offer Yoga classes and therapeutic massages for you at the casitas. Please ask when booking if this is something you are interested in. (This service is dependant on Juana's availability at the time of your visit).

Travel
The nearest airport is Granada, which is just under an hour from the house. Monarch flies to Granada from Gatwick and Ryanair flies from Liverpool, Stanstead and East Midlands.
Malaga airport is almost 2 hours away with good links to all UK airports.

Distances
Lanjaron is the gateway of the Alpujarra is ideally situated at an equal distance from Granada to the north and the 'Tropical' coast to the south. The house is a 3 minute drive from Lanjaron.
North: Granada 35 minutes. Sierra Nevada ski slopes 1 hour.
South: Costa Tropical - Salobrena and Motril 35 minutes.
East: Alpujarran White Villages are around 1 hour away. Orgiva 20 minutes.
West: Malaga and Cordoba are both a 2 hour drive.

Further details
Lanjaron is well equipped with shops, chemists, banks and numerous bars and restaurants. The spa provides the opportunity for relaxing massage and hydrotherapy using water which is renowned for it's medicinal purposes. The bustling Thursday street market in the neighbouring town of Orgiva is well worth a visit as it attracts all the population from the neighbouring Alpujarran villages.

A deposit of 25% is required at time of booking with the balance due at least one month before arrival. Longer stays considered, please ask for rates.
