Situated in the old pueblo of Benalmadena, this modern apartment offers the best of both worlds being within easy reach of the coast. The village itself has retained its charm and although quiet, has many bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Many of these are tucked away in the quaint narrow streets with whitewashed houses. Benalmadena Pueblo nestles on the mountainside just 1.5 miles inland from the popular resort of Benalmadena Costa.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Sunday unless vacancy permits otherwise. We ask guests to vacate by 10.00 am (baggage storage can be arranged). Occupation from 2.00pm.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom with twin beds and French doors to balcony. Safe fitted in wardrobe.
Second bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobes.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom with bath (shower over), WC, bidet, hairdryer, fan.
Shower room to second bedroom with wc, hairdryer and fan.
Kitchen: Full cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and generous range of utensils, etc.
Utility Room: Ironing board, iron.
Living Rooms: The lounge is comfortably furnished with a dining table and chairs, cocktail cabinet, coffee/games table, settee, rocking chair, electric stove, satellite TV, Hi-Fi and ceiling fan. French doors lead out onto balcony.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen and towels are provided. The apartment is cleaned before every change over. Additional cleaning and linen change (eg. mid-holiday) can be arranged at an extra charge.

 

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has marble floors throughout. It is in a small block of 18, and is in a quiet residential area, a short walk into the village via a hill (not suitable for people with walking difficulties unless they have a car). It is on the top (3rd) floor and is serviced by a lift. There is a security entrance door.

A put-u-up bed can be provided for a 5th person at a charge of 40 euros.

Please note that small children could attempt to climb over the balcony wall.

Outside
The pool is a good size and is in a secure area, only being accessed by other residents. It is possible to keep an eye on pool users from the rear of the apartment. The large balcony faces south with spectacular views to the coast and as far as North Africa on a clear day. It is private and a sun trap (there is an awning for shade). It has a table and chairs, sun loungers, barbecue and a variety of plants. Access to master bedroom and lounge.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 1.5 miles which leads onto the many beaches of Benalmadena Costa, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. All are kept clean and are safe for swimming. There are some pretty secluded rocky coves which are devoted to naturists.

Golf
The apartment overlooks Torrequabrada golf course (1 mile away). Also within 10 miles there is Mijas, Alhurin el Grande, Lauro, Parador and more under construction. Within 30 miles there are approximately 25 courses. There is a golf shop and society in the village who arrange golf days and will advise on prices/difficulty of courses.

Travel
Malaga airport is 15/20 minutes.
Trains run from the airport to Arroyo de la Miel (2 miles). We can arrange a taxi to the door (approx. 20 euros). We can also recommend car hire (although car hire is not necessary).

The cheap local bus service runs through the Pueblo every half hour, the circular route running along the nearby coast and back by Mijas - a popular stop off. The bus stop and taxi rank are a short walk. The bus runs past the railway station with its link to Malaga.

Mijas 4 miles (horse racing).
Arroyo de la Miel 2 miles (Tivoli World, Selwo Dolphins, Paloma Park and popular Friday/Sunday market).
Benalmadena Marina 2.5 miles (Sea Life).
Torremolinos 4 miles (Aqua Park, Go Karting).
Fuengirola 3 miles (Aqua Park, Zoo).

Further details
There are 2 supermarkets in the village (one open Sunday mornings), 2 banks (English spoken), off licence, newsagent, several bars and restaurants offer everything from simple tasty tapas (often free) to gastronomic meals at the famous "La Fonda" School of Cookery.

Close by are tennis courts, a riding school, gym, mountain biking, walking, fishing and a multitude of watersports. Benalmadena Marina which boasts to be one of the best in the world, is visited by the rich and famous and the choice of clubs, bars and restaurants is inexhaustible. There is a casino at Torrequabrada Hotel to round the day off.

The location is ideal for day trips by coach/car to Ronda, Seville, Gibraltar, Granada, Nerja (Caves) and the jet set resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus are 40 mins away.

20% deposit is required to secure booking, with balance due 6 weeks before departure. For later bookings, payment will be required in full by bank transfer. If cash is sent, we recommend recorded delivery for proof of posting. Euro cash can be accepted on arrival by arrangement. Pay Pal taken + 3% handling charge. Credit card/passport details will be taken to cover any breakages in the apartment with a signed contract for the keys. We can supply basic welcome pack to be paid on arrival.
