Casa Amaranda is our lovely Spanish home, carefully furnished in traditional Castillian style within its own landscaped grounds. A spacious well-equipped character villa situated in a quiet upmarket area with good amenities within walking distance. There is a secluded 11m x 5m pool and large terrace with built-in barbeque. Close to stunning cliff top views, the villa is a short drive out of the popular town of Javea on the Costa Blanca, with its family beach, old town and bustling port. Excellent walking, golfing and water sports in the immediate area, with stunning moutain landscapes and traditional villages to tour by car.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Special rates for long let on application. Bookings for 2011 at 2010 rates, if made before 30 November 2010. Discounts - 3rd week half price on all dates. Apply for late deals as special request. Additional linen charge: £15 per adult (£5 per child) per week.

Changeover day is normally Saturday but we can be flexible during off-peak periods and subject to availability.

Other: Bedroom 4 doubles as a breakfast room/playroom.

Bed linen, towels for indoor and outdoor use changed weekly. Linen charge (additional): £15 per adult (£5 per child) per week. The property is cleaned before let. The swimming pool is cleaned twice a week during the summer months.

Notes on accommodation
The central heating system provides hot water in the summer. In the winter months, there are heated radiators throughout the villa and an open fireplace for woodburning.

Accessibility
As there is a short flight of steps up to the main door, the property is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Outside
Through an archway, there is a large paved secluded garden with a walk-in private pool, a covered barbecue area with power, a sink and units and an open shower. There are sun loungers and an outdoor dining table and chairs. Accessed off a flight of stairs is a solarium with far reaching views which is great for evening drinks.

Coast/Beach
Within a five minute drive is Granadella, a small pebble beach, and there are similar smaller coves in the immediate locality. At the Arenal in Javea, approximately 10 minutes' drive away, is a large, sandy beach with restaurants, shops and banks. Within the area, there are numerous walks to various miradors (view points of spectacular beauty) over the Mediterranean. The villa has an information pack giving details of local attractions and the area.

Golf
Within the Javea area is an 18-hole course at La Sella and a more local 9-hole course at Javea Golf Club. Further away at Olivia is an 18-hole Seve Ballesteros designed course and near Valencia the famous El Saler.

Travel
The villa is some 100km from both Valencia and Alicante airports which are located along the nearby A7 motorway; it takes about 75 minutes to get to the villa from either. A car is essential but we can advise further on enquiry regarding rental.

Further details
Javea is a coastal town situated on the east coast of mid-Spain in the district of Valencia. The town has both Moorish and Roman connections and has grown from the original town on the hill beneath Mount Montgo (the local landmark) to include various districts which make up this holiday resort.
Javea Old Town is situated in the centre of Javea, with the main church and old covered market as its focal points. The Old Town has been refurbished in recent years and includes pedestrian areas with restaurants and shops. Close to the centre are small lanes which lead to more modern areas. Near to the centre you will find a number of banks, the main post office and on Thursdays there is a town market which occupies the main car park to the north of the Old Town.
Javea Town is situated about a mile from Javea Port which lies below the Cabo de San Antonio and to the far end of the Port is the main marina which also includes a thriving commercial fishing centre. To the frontage of the port, adjacent to the pebble beach, are further pedestrian areas and many restaurants and shops for exploring. The final part that makes up the whole of Javea is the beach area, L’Arenal. The main beach is located virtually to the centre of Javea Bay and is positioned in a natural harbour. The sandy beach is kept clean and includes volleyball courts and a children's play area. The main attraction, apart from the sandy beach, is the wide pedestrian promenade which has a large variety of restaurants, generally of good quality, together with bars and shops. In the summer months, this promenade also includes an open air market every night which is a great attraction.
Surrounding Javea are various urbanisations of mainly villas which extend to both the east and west above the town. Our Villa is located in the Balcon al Mar area.

For booking, please email or phone direct and we will send you the booking form to complete. A deposit of £100 per week is required on reservation. The balance is due eight weeks before departure.
