Spacious 1 bedroom apartment situated in a quiet area on the outskirts of Fuengirola town (20 mins from Malaga airport). Within walking distance of local amenities such as; supermarkets, restaurants, activity centres, port, aquariums, traditional open market (every sunday) etc. Children's play park next to apartment (within site of balcony). Situated on the 3rd floor (apartment block has two elevators), southwest facing which means view of the sunset/rise every day. Apartment block is supervised by a porter. Fuengirola offers a number of interesting venues such as the Roman baths at Torreblanca, the Arab castle of Suhayl, the Outdoor Museum exhibiting paintings by a variety of artists, the Yacht Harbour, Yacht Club, fantastic golf courses, and a large shopping complex, the 7km long Marine Parade dotted with various monuments and sculptures, the bull ring, etc. There is no better launching for all the great golf courses of the Costa del Sol.

Kitchen: Newly fitted kitchen (April 2007), fitted with cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge, freezer (+ all necessary appliances for a new kitchen).
Utility Room: Annexed to the kitchen there is a laundry room overlooking an interior patio.
Living Rooms: Large lounge and dining area with table and chairs, dressing board, a television and DVD player, new luxury leather sofa-bed and armchair. With balcony overlooking promenade and beach.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen and bath towels are provided free of charge. Property is cleaned before and after use of visitors. No cleaning service mid-rental.

 

Notes on accommodation
For the benefit of everyone, I would very much appreciate it if you would not smoke inside the apartment. If you must smoke, please use the balcony area.

Outside
Large beautifully well-kept garden area with palm trees and flowers. Large communal swimming pool, which makes for perfect relaxation place (bathrooms and showers within swimming pool area).

Coast/Beach
Fuengirola is most famous for its 5 miles of golden beaches (European blue flag award). Sunbed areas provide showers and footwashes. There are areas designated for volley ball, pedaloes, water skiing, jet ski's and most other water sports. An emergency medical response is centally located. The promenade is said to be the best on the Med and offers beautiful monuments and resting places every few steps. You will see many people both local and tourist taking relaxing strolls most evenings.

Golf
Numerous golf courses within easy driving distance. A fun minigolf park about 50 meters behind the apartment block (A nice place to take the kids).

Special interest holidays
There’s tons of watery fun on offer at the spectacular Parque Aquatico Mijas waterpark – easy to reach from Fuengirola bus station via a 10 minute shuttle bus service. Open daily from May - September.

Travel
Nearest international airport: Malaga at 20 minutes drive
Nearest railway station: Fuengirola at 1 kilometres.
Nearest shopping centre: Miramar at 500 metres.
On the beach (3-5 meters).
Car not necessary.

Distances
The cosmopolitan harbour at Puerto Banus is approx a 30 minute drive just past Marbella on the costal road. Mijas - the enchanting 9th century Andalucian village is on the hillside and only a 10 minute drive away. Benalmadena - has a newly developed harbour with lovely restaurants, boutiques and there is also a Sea Life Centre.

Further details
From Fuengirola, a trip to Ronda is recommended. The bus station is a short walk from the railway station towards the seafront. Locally based taxis will pick you up from the apartment, generally within 5 minutes of your call. There is a train from the airport to Fuengirola and a taxi rank sits outside Fuengirola station.

Booking notes
A deposit of £100 is payable on booking. This is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. You are strongly advised to include cancellation cover in your travel insurance. The balance should be paid no later than three weeks before the start of the rental. Minimum age of booking client is 25 years.
