Fantastic family home fashionably but comfortably decorated reflecting the andalucian and moroccan heritage of the special part of Spain. The house has uninterrupted views of the costa de luz coast and nightime views of the lights of Tangiers. During the summer months the beach is peppered with chiringuito's offering restaurant quality food through to the small hours they provide loungers and parasols for patrons. Zahara is relaxed and tranquil unspoilt by noise and you can either stay put enjoying the 12km beach or explore the rich tapestry of Andalucia which is easily accessible by car. Once you have visited you will keep coming back but just don't tell too many people as it's still a hidden gem!

This is our family house which has been decorated to a very high standard in the style of boutique hotels. With nice artwork and furnishings but not pretentious as this house is family focused.

Accessibility
Sadly our house is over 3 levels, only accessible by stairs.

Outside
The internal patio has a large Moroccan table with an enclosed wooden awning to protect you from the sun as this is a sun trap. The verandah is perfect to soak up the last of the evening sun over a tinto de verano. The balcony attached to the main bedroom is totally secluded for private sunbathing or star gazing. The shared pool is the largest pool in the area and never feels crowded with an additional large paddling pool. There is paddle tennis courts within the community.

Coast/Beach
30 seconds from the unspoilt 12km beach of Zahara de los Atunes, never too busy. During the summer months there are chiringuito bars serving restaurant class food with loungers and sunshades. During the spring months you can often see pilot whales and dolphins from the shoreline. It is a perfect beach for strolling or jogging.

Golf
15 minutes from Montenmedio Golf & Country Club, 18 hole/72 par course with restaurants and an International Equestrian Centre.
30 minutes from Benalup Golf & Country Club - 18 hole course with a 5 star spa hotel and facilities.
1 hour away is the golf courses of Sotogrande.

Special interest holidays
We do not provide speciality holidays but locally you can arrange: horse riding either trekking or beach rides. Mountain biking/ Surfing/kite surfing and wind surfing. Quad biking and sailing.

Travel
Zahara is equal distance between Gibraltar Airport and Jerez Airport, both are easily accessible at about an hour and half drive away. We can arrange transfers both ways from either airport. Car hire is recommended but there is a bus that goes from the community to Seville via Jerez.

Distances
Vejer de la Frontera (traditional Andalucian white hilltop village) 20 minutes away.
Tarifa, kite surfing capital of Europe with funky bars and an ancient port, 30 minutes away.
Tangiers, 20 minutes by ferry from Tarifa.
Cadiz oldest capital of Europe, 1 hour drive.
Jerez an hour and half away.

Further details
Local shops within walking distance including 2 general stores and a bakery. Zahara town has a market with fresh produce including fish, meat and grocery. Barbate 15 minutes away has a Lidl and Vejer has a Supersol. Zahara has excellent restaurants both moroccan and spanish specialising in the local fish. Frontal Africa 5 minutes walk along the beach is run by Italians who do fantastic pizza's and are charming to the children there is a rooftop cocktail bar to watch the sunset over the bay of trafalgar. There are banks and cashpoints in the town. Beyond Zahara worth exploring is the roman ruins at bologna and the boutique hotels on the road to Tarifa including the Hurricane, Punta Sur and 100% fun are great places for dinner.
