Coast/Beach
A short 20 minute drive through orange groves and glorious mountain scenery brings you to the golden sandy beaches of the Costa del Azahar. This little known corner of Spain has wonderful beaches and has the advantage of being off the main busy tourist routes.
Travel
Valencia is the nearest airport, at about 1 hours drive, on easy motorway. Alicante airport is about 2 hours drive, on easy motorway.
Car hire is recommended due to the rural location of the villa. But it is possible to fly to Valencia and get a train to Gandia and a taxi up to the villa. There are also buses twice a day to and from Gandia.
Distances
The town of Gandia is a 15 minute drive from the villa. The elegant city of Valencia is about 30 minutes by car or train.
Further details
The villa is situated in a beautiful mountain valley region known as La Safor. The nearby mountain village, called Barx (pronounced Barch), is less than a kilometre down the road. Barx has 2 supermarkets which sell all the essentials, 3 butchers, a bakery, 7 bars, one excellent restaurant, a pharmacy, a bricabrac shop, an electrical goods shop, a hairdressers, a bank and a doctor's surgery. There is a market in the village square on Tuesday mornings, selling clothes, plants, ceramics, sweets and fresh fish.

Villa rental prices are for the week, in euros. Payment is required on arrival, in cash, in euros.
TO BOOK: A deposit of 100 UK pounds, per week booked, is required on booking. This deposit is then held during your stay, against damages - and returned to you, in euros equivalent, on the day that you leave.
