Unique position perched atop a hill with uninterrupted, breathtaking views over the green mountainside and sea. There are 2 beautiful communal pools, both with amazing sea and mountainside views, 1 and 3 mins walk from house. The dramatic panorama makes you feel as though you are floating on the mountainside while you enjoy an alfresco meal on the outdoor terrace. All of the rooms have huge windows opening onto stunning mountain/sea views, so the house is bright & airy. There are also 2 balconies, a pretty garden area, plenty of shade available, safe for young children to play. Malaga 1hr drive, Granada 1 hour, Sierra Nevada ski resort 1 hour 20 mins, Almunecar (town with restaurants cafes and weekly markets) 5 mins, marina 10 mins, Nerja 10 mins. There are also various pretty traditional 'white villages', such as Ronda, to explore inland.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Winter discounts for long lets. 50% deposit to secure booking. Balance payable 6 weeks before departure date. Preferred booking is Sat 4pm - Sat 11am, more flexibility usually available outside peak times. £100 refundable deposit in case of breakages.
Changeover day
Saturday 4pm - Saturday 11am preferred, but we try our best to be flexible, especially in low season.

Notes on accommodation
Suitable and safe for toddlers and young children. Guard rails available for top bunks. Air-conditioning in living/dining room, master bedroom and top bedroom. Metal roll-down shutters on all windows. Gate to property with entry phone. Also provided: inflatables with pump, including large paddling pool (great for children to use on the deck), beach towels, beach umbrella, portable beach chairs, buckets and spades, hairdryer. Main bed is 6ft. (King-size). Smoking outdoors only please. TV has BBC1, 2 and 3, ITV1,2,3 and 4 as well as 'Sky Freeview' channels (inc. CBBC, CBeebies, Film 4, Travel channel, and many more).

Accessibility
The house is reached by descending 2 sets of steps, as it is situated on a hillside, so not suitable for those who find steps difficult. The rooms are distributed over 4 split levels, having only 5 or 6 steps between each level. Ground level: kitchen and living/dining room. Level 1: wc and bedroom with bunkbeds. Level 2: master bedroom with en-suite & bedroom with bunkbeds. Level 4: bedroom with double/twin beds and bathroom.
Outside
2 communal swimming pools, non-heated, warm enough to use from May onwards. (Infinity pool open from 15 June onwards). Outdoor area comprises a hardwood decked and tiled area with pergola above, for shade. Beautiful mosaic-tiled outdoor table and wrought-iron chairs to seat 8. Garden alongside with colourful flowers, palms, etc. Gas barbecue and charcoal barbecue. Various sun loungers/beach chairs. Outdoor tap, hose, paddling pool.
Coast/Beach
15 mins' walk/5 mins' drive to nearest beach. Velilla beach is a peaceful, pretty cove surrounded by rocky hills and overlooked by an ancient lookout tower. There are 2 good restaurants on the beach itself. It joins up to the other wide beaches that fringe Almunecar, so from Velilla beach you can walk from one end of Almunecar to the other, nearly all on the beach. There are several children's play areas dotted all along the beaches, and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Golf
The Costa Tropical has various excellent golf courses. There is an excellent horse-riding school 10 mins drive from the house, with English-speaking instructors. The 'Pradollano' winter sports resort is 1hr. 20 mins' drive away, so it's possible to ski in the morning and relax on the beach in the afternoon! There is an excellent British Ski School offering lessons at very reasonable rates.
Travel
Malaga and Granada airports: 50 mins. drive. Almeria airport 1 hour 45. Bus station in Almunecar but car hire recommended.
Distances
Nearest town is Almunecar: 5 mins drive. Market each Friday and food market daily. Castle and Old Quarter. Superb waterslide complex for children. Many beaches.
Salobrena: 10 mins. Picturesque white-washed town tumbling down hill, topped by a dramatic castle.
Nerja: 10 mins. Pretty coastal town with large caves to visit and markets.
La Herradura: 10 mins. Relaxed village on the beach, very Spanish, undeveloped. Watersports.
Marina del Este: 10 mins. Marina with waterside cafes and beach.
Further details
Almunecar is a large town with all amenities, including a huge choice of restaurants, tapas bars and cafes. There are 3 large supermarkets. Choice of beaches, all clean, with showers. Large Aquapark for children. Old quarter to explore-narrow, winding streets leading up to the ruins of a castle which you can visit for superb views over the sea. Market each Friday selling traditional Spanish crockery, clothes, locally-made jewellery, etc. Also a daily indoor market selling fresh fish, traditional Spanish pastries and other local produce.
