This lovely child friendly villa is situated in the pine hills overlooking the beautiful marina and coastal town of Moraira with fabulous panoramic and sea views. Casa Lydia is on a large flat plot with grounds ideal for children to run and play around. The villa is walled all around the perimeter so providing a safe environment for children. It is reached via a small single track road and is off the main road in a very quiet and peaceful residential area. There are two balconies, one is under cover and lovely and cool with sea views,the other is sunny and bright. The villa has a huge open plan lounge and dining area with new chocolate brown leather sofas and trendy chunky dark wood furniture, modern paintings and mirrors abound! The kitchen is large and functional with dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob, plenty of crockery, plastic glasses for the poolside, lots of children's dishes and cutlery. There are four very good sized double bedrooms with lots of space!

Special discounts for long winter lets. Our excellent Pool heater is £120 per week. You are very welcome to use our beach towels at a cost of £2 each. Free baby cots, baby prams and bath towels.

Changeover day
Our change over days are Saturdays. Check in is 3pm check out is 10am. Casa Lydia is quite big an our cleaners need all the time from 10am to 3pm to clean, change beds, clean the oven etc. We respectfully request you keep to the 10am check out! Thank you.

All beds are quite new with comfortable mattresses and good linen.
Bathrooms: Main family bathroom, on 1st floor, large sized with bath, shower, wc, sink and bidet, window to side overlooking childrens play area.
Bathroom 2 on ground floor with bath, shower, wc and sink overlooking the garden. Mozi nets at widows.
Kitchen: A large fully tiled kitchen with dishwasher,fridge freezer, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, free baby bottle steriliser, cool boxes,high chair,baby bowls, well stocked crockery, dry stores available, double sink, small table and chairs, door to BBQ!
Utility Room: The utility area is based in the large garage with washing machine, clothes airers, two water heaters, ample children's toys, inflatables, balls, football nets, swingball. All FREE for our guests to use!
Living Rooms: Large open plan reception room with dining area. New modern L shaped chocolate brown leather sofa, trendy dark wood chunky furniture, lots of windows looking down to the sea. 2 patio doors one to the covered terrace the other to the open tarrace. DVD!
Other: The property is ideal for 2 families as main living accommodation is on 1st floor with 2 of the bedrooms and bathroom and a very small 2nd kitchen on ground floor with external staircase linking to the floors. The ground floor kitchen has fridge, kettle.

We are delighted to include your bed linen and bath towels. You are very welcome to use our beach towels at 2 euros per towel. We have every thing a family needs at the villa, just bring yourselves, clothes and toiletries (perhaps the children too)!

Notes on accommodation
We are delighted to offer a pool heater at £120 per week. Free electric fans for the summer and gas heaters are available for low season rentals. Please have a look at our photograph section - we have 20 lovely photos of the villa for you to look at! We have endeavoured to make your holiday at our villa as cost effective as possible, we have stocked the villa with as many things that we can think of that you will need for you and your family to use and enjoy. We offer free cots, free high chair, two prams, lots of cot linen, a small childs bed with side arms, plus lots of toys and books for the children. We have built up a good selection of books at the villa-please help yourself. It really is a home from home at our villa-lots of crockery, pans, dry food stock, towels, games, DVDs, bikes, usually lots of inflatables, small surf boards, buckets and spades. Our motto is "whatever you find at the villa is there for you to use and enjoy - please help yourselves, relax and enjoy".

Outside
This lovely villa sits in a 1200m plot, lots of room for guest’s cars, football games and plenty of room to get away from the children! We have a 10x5m sparkling crystal clean pool! With a children's pool safty fence fitted. An outdoor children's play area, a BBQ area with built in BBQ, two terraces, pool terrace, 3 lovely orange trees, huge palm tree with other tropical plants, a lovely relaxing swinging seat for two, and lazy rocking sun bed, swing ball, football nets, small children's den (by the side of the swimming pool). Lots of tables and chairs for flexible outside eating! two large sun umbrellas, new sun loungers and three additional loungers with very comfortable cushions. We have recently added a lovely swinging seat area in the garden! Just perfect to read a book, relax, or have a chat on!

Coast/Beach
The coastal beach of Moraira is a three minute drive from the villa. El Portet beach is five mintues further round the coast and ten mintues further on is the town of Javea with its mile long golden sands. Moraira and El Portet beaches are ideal for keeping an eye on your children and both provide lifeguards, toilets and beachside restaurants.

Golf
There are three lovely golf courses within twenty minutes drive from the villa. The La Sella golf course is part of the Marriot 5 star Hotel Complex. The course boasts lush green fairways and offers a challenging and beautiful round of golf. The other two courses including 'Ifach' are 9 holes and provide the opportunity to sharpen up your game.

Skiing
There are ski resorts two and a half hours from the villa, north of Valencia.

Special interest holidays
Walking Holidays are very popular within this lovely region of Spain, the coastline is very interesting with lots of cliffs and rock formations. The huge IFACH rock jutting out into the sea at Calpe rock has two great walk across it. Equally impressive are the inland walks through the beautiful Orange Groves and the famous Jalon Valley. The Tourist board in Moraira has some great walking maps!

Travel
Alicante and valencia airports are just 1hour 15 minutes drive from the villa. We do have details of a very reliable airport transfer service we use to / from the villa. Once in moraira we then hire a small car locally. Please ask for details.

Distances
Moraira town is three minutes drive or 15 minutes walk. The much larger town of Javea is 15 minutes drive.

Further details
From Casa Lydia you can walk to a lovely small local shopping area called Tabera, there you will find a supermarket, a lovely delicious German Bakery (their coffee is great!), newspaper shop, DIY shop and a few small bars and restaurants. Moraira has plenty of banks, supermarkets and restaurants.

About the owner
Hi, Thanks so much for looking at our villa. We bought our villa in 2003 when our children were little toddlers, after spending a few holidays constantly shadowing the children around the pool and worrying about them accidentally plopping in if we were distracted!! Oops!! We decided to install a "Pool Safety Fence" It was definitely the best thing we have installed at the villa. We can now relax and unwind knowing that our children - and yours - are safe and away from the pool. We absolutely love the villa and have invested lots of time and thought in furnishing the villa in a very comfortable and attractive way. We very happy to to rent our villa out and hope other families enjoy their time at our villa with friends and family as much as we do!

Our criteria, when we started our search for an ideal holiday home base was simple: 1.Close to large established airports with good UK flight coverage. 2.Established Spanish town with lots of local residents 3.Easy access to English speaking Hospitals and Doctors. 4.Upmarket location with associated services. Moraira offers all these points plus many more. One of the main reasons we love Moraira is there is NO high rise in the town, we therefore have no large hotel and apartment complexes.The majority of visitors are villa owners and villa rental guests.This contributes to the lovely relaxed atmosphere of Moraira. The drive from Alicante or Valencia airport is quick and simple, plus very pretty,especially when entering Moraira along the coastal road from Calpe.Pine trees & hills.
