First floor apartment with two interior patios, two double bedrooms, fully-equipped new kitchen, separate dining room, modern spacious bathroom and balcony looking onto the street. Living room has comfortable double sofabed. Ideally located in the centre but conveniently just over the bridge from the noisey city centre. Go out of an evening in Barrio Carmen and then walk home over the Puente de Serranos bridge. All sights are within walking distance. Tram stop for the beach/port and Congress Centre is just a three minute walk away. Barrio Carmen and the historical centre is just a short ten minute walk over the park/riverbed. Bus links to the main bus and train stations just a five minute walk away.

We are flexible with changeover days. Arrival is generally possible from 15.00, departure by 12 noon, but we can be flexible with this too.

Living Rooms: Spacious living room with TV/DVD/video/stereo and high-speed internet. Air-con unit. Large, leather 'chesterfield' style double sofa bed. Sliding doors to balcony.
Other: Modern dining room with sliding doors to private courtyard patio. Dining inside or outside.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and bedding are provided. There are no additional charges for towels or sheets, nor will there be a charge for final cleaning. All of this will be covered by your rental payment.

The apartment has air-conditioning. The unit is in the living room and serves the whole apartment. Heating is by electric oil radiators.

Outside
The apartment has two small internal patios. One from the kitchen and one off of the dining room. In the latter patio, there is a table and chairs so dining is also possible here. The front balcony looks onto the street.

Coast/Beach
The tramstop with direct access to the beach and America's Cup port is just around the corner. It takes roughly 20 minutes. The paella restaurants along the beach at Las Arenas are fantastic!

There are numerous golf courses around Valencia. More information on request.

Travel
Valencia airport is about a 20 minute taxi ride away. The new metro line extension has however also just opened, so you can now easily get in to the town centre. The Central Bus Station is about 2 km away from the apartment. The nearest ferry port is a 15 minute drive away. You really don't need a car to experience Valencia. The old town and all the main sights are easily reachable on foot.

Distances
From the centre of Valencia there are numerous bus tours that can take you out to the surrounding area. One trip worth taking is to the Albufuera nature reserve and beach. Here the beach is wilder and you can take a boat tour of the paddy fields where the famous paella rice is cultivated.

Further details
The local neighbourhood is much quieter than being in the old town itself. Although the majority of the more exclusive restaurants are over the river in the old town, our "barrio" has a lot to offer including some great local tapas bars, cosy restaurants, a famous seafood restaurant and couple of restaurants of world repute. On seemingly, every street corner there is a supermarket and also local fishmongers, butchers, healthfood shops are in the local area.
Valencia has a lot to offer - the new City of Sciences and Arts buildings by Calatrava are incredible, the mix of baroque, gothic and modern styles is everywhere. Shopping around the "Colon" area is great and there is always somewhere to relax, be it a bar on a quiet square, the beautiful Turia park or on the sandy beach.

'We were a little bit wary about renting this apartment (a choice we made after researching availability and cost of two hotel rooms in Valencia, as there were four of us). We need not have worried. The apartment appears to have been very recently refurbished to a very high standard. For once the photographs on the web site were a true reflection of just how beautiful and stylish everything was. The apartment is very well situated (once we had found on the map exactly where we were) just to the north of Valencia old town and provides a modern clean and stylish environment to sleep of the after effects of too much great Spanish wine and authentic Paella! The apartment with balcony, large bedrooms and location in the heart of the city made this both an affordable and very worthwhile option for us. We cannot recommend it highly enough' Caryl P.
