Notes on accommodation
The apartment is air conditioned throughout and is heated in the winter. It is located on the ground floor of a small complex (just 45 apartments) and is steps away from the lovely community pool. However, small children are protected by a lockable gate separating the patio from the pool area.
Please note - the apartment contains a hairdryer and safe for guest use.

The property has not been adapted for wheelchair users.
Outside
The apartment has a large patio area which has an external dining table, a parasol and four sun loungers to enjoy those long, hot Spanish summers.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is just 10-15 minutes walk from the local beaches. The uncrowded beaches are located on the shores of the very calm Mar Menor, making the location ideal for small children.
If you prefer, the waters of the Mediterranean are just a short drive away (North and South).
Golf
The apartment in located a maximum of 30 minutes drive from approxmatly seven world class golf courses, including the worls famous "La Manga" club (20 minutes away). It is an ideal base for a golfing trip, being close to the bars and restaurants of both Santiago de la Ribera and San Javier and so close to the numerous golf courses in the area.
This particular coast line has approximately 320 days of sun a year making it a superb golfing location.
Special interest holidays
The area is very well served for water sports and diving, with many diving schools in the area and numerous water sport clubs and schools. The Mar Menor is very well suited to water sports due to its calm and shallow nature.
Travel
Murcia airport is 5 minutes drive away.
Alicante airport is 50 minutes drive away.
The area is very well served by a local and national bus service, enabling travel up and down the coast (to Benidorm/Alicante/Cartagena) even without a car. There is also a major railway station located 20 minutes drive away, opening up all of Spain.
Distances
Murcia city is 25 minutes drive away and well worth a sightseeing vist. It has a magnificent cathedral and many lovely shops and restaurants.
The town of Elche is a 40 minutes drive, and contains one of the largest palm forests in the world, dotted with childrens parks and a very good restaurant, it is well worth a day trip.
Alicante, with its impressive cliff top castle and major shops, is just 50 minutes away by car.
Further details
The property is well served by supermarkets, with a major shopping complex a 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk away.
The nearest bars and restaurants are 5 minutes walk away (with a lovely spanish steak restaurant, a bar and tapas bar and a coffee shop, serving fresh bread and pastries every morning, as well as traditional Churros!).
There are two childrens parks a very short walk from the apartment, which are enjoyed by the local families and contain swings, see-saws and climbing frames.
The area is very spanish, and the seafront, just 10-15 minutes walk away, has many excellent restaurants and beach bars, virtually all of them serving traditional tapas. There are two specialist fish restaurants located directly on the beach itself and paella can be eaten in many of the restaurants.
Booking notes
A £100 deposit is required upon booking, with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. A £200 bond will be required. This will be repaid within 4 weeks of vacating the property if no damage has occured.

My wife and I live in the UK, with our two young children. We both work, but love to escape to our apartment in Santiago de la Ribera to relax and recharge our batteries.
We love to relax in the sun and catch up on our reading and the kids to love to swim in the pool and the sea. We all love to eat the fantastic Spanish food!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our apartment in Satiago and the village remains very Spanish, with lovely Spanish bars and restaurants, all serving tapas and other traditional food.
It is also quite residential, which makes it a lovely place to walk in the evening and nice and quiet.
The beach is very clean and shallow which makes it ideal for our children and peaceful and relaxing for us.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is only one of ten in the complex, that is accessed directly from the road, allowing a car to be parked outside the front door, thereby making food shopping very easy - this is not offered by many other properties in the area.
