Changeover day
Saturday. Arrival after 4.00pm and departure by 10.00am. There is some flexbility depending on availability of changeover personnel.

Coast/Beach
All along the Costa del Azahar are wonderful, golden sandy beaches. Award winning blue flag beach at Gandia which is approximately a 20 minute drive. Here there are various activities available such as sailing, fishing, windsurfing and scuba diving. There are also beaches at Oliva and Tavernes.
Golf
Seve Ballesteros designed golf course at Oliva (approx. 30 minute drive). There is also a golf course in Gandia.
Special interest holidays
La Drova is situated in the high valley of La Safor at an altitude of 400m above sea level. The area is very popular with cyclists and walkers.
Travel
Valencia airport is approximately 1 hour's drive. Alicante airport is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes' drive. Car hire is certainly advisable.
Distances
The village of Barx is 1km from the villa where you will find traditional bars and restaurants, 2 small supermarkets, butchers, chemist, bank, tobacconist, doctor's surgery, sports centre and church. Locally renowned paella restaurant within walking distance of the villa. More extensive facilities can be found in Gandia, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Valencia is approximately 1 hour's drive. There is a small sports centre in La Drova with swimming pool, tennis court and football area.
Further details
Gandia has an historical association with the Borja family and is a very important town within Valencia. Apart from it's House of Culture, it has many beautiful squares and a wealth of shops. Valencia hosted the 32nd America's Cup and is a beautiful and historic city with many museums and places of interest such as the City of Arts & Sciences and L'Oceanografic, gardens, restaurants and designer shops. The Aquopolis waterpark at Cullera is within 30 minutes drive and the attractions of Benidorm, Terra Mitica, Javea and Denia are also a short car journey away. Golf at Gandia and also at the Seve Ballesteros designed course at Oliva are available.
Booking notes
A £200 deposit (£250 if 8 or more nights) is required on booking with the balance being paid in full 6 weeks prior to arrival date. For late bookings the total amount must be paid in full. Guests are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance as these charges are non-refundable. A separate £200 security/breakage deposit is also payable at the time of paying the balance or full amount of the total amount.

After a very busy and stressful year we needed a good family break and La Lluna was a special getaway. Charming Villa with a great layout and welcoming pool in the heat. At night the dining in Barx was a real entertainment with the locals not even starting to eat until 9pm at the earliest; late nights and late mornings meant a nice gentle break for both of us and the children. The place is situated in a village between mountains into a Natural Park with wonderful views and a really nice weather. The house and its decoration are original and beautiful and the barbecue, the swimming pool and the gardens of the outside make it nicer.
It's a perfect place to have a relax.
