C8 Tropicana is a light, bright and sunny 2-bedroomed villa/bungalow which boasts 2 large terraces with sea views and a small lawned garden. It is situated on a well maintained urbanisation, in beautiful lush gardens and is perfect for both families and couples. There is a communal swimming pool, together with a splash pool for younger children which was completely refurbished in 2007 and the beach is just 5 minutes away. The town of Nerja is approx. 1.5km away and can be reached by the coastal road or alternatively along a beach walkway (approx. 20 mins walk) which is illuminated at night.

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is suitable for children, hire of cots and highchairs can be arranged. Internet access available - fee payable locally (computer not provided).

Accessibility
C8 Tropicana is all situated on 1 level.

Outside
2 large terraces, first with patio table and chairs, semi-shaded and mostly used for dining. Second area with sunloungers for relaxing, both with sea views, together with lawned garden accessible down steps. Cushions etc. provided for patio furniture. An excellent communal swimming pool with splash pool for children.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is the Playazo, which is a 5 minute walk from Tropicana and other beaches in Nerja can also be reached by walking. Torrecilla Beach is at the end of the beach walkway. There are also beaches leading down from the town centre. At the other side of town is the popular Burriana beach. This can be reached by walking (depending upon how energetic you are), or is approx. 7 minutes away by car/taxi (7 euros). Many other coastal beaches can be reached by car, bus or taxi.

Golf
The nearest golf course is at Baviera Golf, which is situated approximately 15 minutes drive from Nerja. There are other courses around the Malaga area and further East towards Almunecar.

Skiing
The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Granada are apprximately 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Nerja.
It is possible to ski in the morning and come back for a swim in the afternoon!

Travel
Malaga Airport is approx. 40 minutes drive by car. It is a direct route staight through to Nerja along the E15 motorway. Cost for taxi journey is approx. 65 euros each way. There is also a regular bus service from Malaga bus station to Nerja. Car hire is not essential but recommended if you want to visit other coastal/mountain villages etc.

Distances
Nerja town is approx. 4 minutes away by car and 15-20 minutes walk, either along road or beach walkway. Other local beaches are within walking distance or a very short car drive. Frigiliana is a 10 minute car drive and the Nerja Caves are 5 minutes drive, although these can be reached by bus/coach also. The shopping complex of El Ingenio, which is home to Dunnes Stores, Zara, Mango etc. (should you feel the need for retail therapy) is approximately 15 minutes drive along the motorway.

Further details
There are many superb restaurants in and around Nerja Town serving excellent cuisine. Walking into Nerja along the beach walkway are many chiringuitos where you can dine or just enjoy tapas. There are banks, supermarkets and a wide assortment of smaller shops in the town which is also very family orientated and has something to offer all generations. The Balcon de Europa is the central location and has a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The town is typically Spanish with quaint winding streets and whitewashed houses. There are numerous restaurants and tapas bars throughout.

Booking notes
A 20% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking (if arrival date at villa is more than six weeks away) and the remaining balance and £100 returnable key deposit cheque is due 6 weeks prior to arrival at villa. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before date of arrival, then full payment together with security deposit is required.

The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious. The complex nice and quiet with beautiful surroundings. Pool very nice and bar nice and friendly. Nerja Town lovely. We had a great time in your lovely clean, comfortable, well equipped villa. We particularly liked the large terrace so we could spread out and follow the sun.

My husband and I both work and live in London with our three children. One of whom is currently away at University and the other two at home with us.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
After visiting most of the usual holiday travel spots, some by ourselves before children & the rest with our family, we chanced upon Nerja in 1997 and had a very enjoyable holiday. After visiting a few more destinations, we came back to Nerja again and then just kept on returning. We felt comfortable here & loved it so much that we decided we wanted Nerja to be a permanent part of our lives! We lead busy, hectic lives working & living in London and have found that Nerja can be whatever we want it to be. We can easily venture into Nerja town if we want a vibrant buzz, or we can find calmness, peace and serenity if we want solitude. It never ceases to amaze us that each time we come we always discover some hidden gem, albeit another great restaurant, village, beauty spot, or beach.

Unique benefits of the property
We love the location of our house. Nerja Town is literally on the doorstep & easily accessible in many ways but we are also surrounded by countryside and further inland we can see &/or visit the mountains, (particularly the Sierra Nevada) which are usually snow capped when we visit during winter/early spring, together with the beach & sparkling blue sea just literally across the road to us. We love the comfort of our own home and have lavished time & attention to create our own Spanish casa. We have a large double terrace (one part is semi shaded & used as a dining area) which allows us to extend to outside living with a constant view of the sea. The villa is on one level which has been a particular bonus for when my octogenerian mother or family with children visit. A real home for all!
