Salobrena is a ‘whitewashed’ Spanish town with a 10th Century Moorish Castle perched at the top. 'Casa Carmen' is a spacious 3 bedroomed townhouse located beneath the castle in the lower part of the old town and boasts stunning uninterrupted views of the Sierra Nevada mountains from the roof terrace, two bedrooms and the lounge. As well as the three bedrooms, the accommodation also contains a large well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, a large dining room, comfortable lounge with satellite TV and DVD, a bathroom with large walk-in shower, a shower room, and a utility room with WC. The spacious roof terrace has a store room with a fridge, sun lounger and reclining chairs. The road access to the property is good with parking on the street outside. There is also a public car park nearby. The main supermarkets, bars and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk (with a local corner shop a minute away). The beach is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away.

Changeover day
Arrival and departure dates are flexible. The property will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
The lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2 have ceiling fans and there are floor fans for use throughout the rest of the house.
Electric heaters are provided during the winter months.
Accessibility
The property is easily accessible by car and there is street parking directly outside. There is also a public car park nearby.
The property is situated over three floors plus the roof terrace and unfortunately is unsuitable for persons with limited mobility.
Outside
The roof terrace has plenty of fixed seating for al fresco dining and has stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
There is a small room on the roof containing a fridge, sun lounger and reclining chairs.
Coast/Beach
The main beaches of Salobrena are a comfortable 20 minutes walk from the house, or a 3 minute drive. There are numerous beach bars (chiringuitos) and restaurants.
Golf
The 18 hole Los Moriscos (Motril) golf course is 10 minutes drive from the house and is located next to the sea. It is a challenging course when the wind is blowing. There are several other golf courses within 45-60 minutes drive from Salobrena.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada ski area is 80-90 minutes drive from the property.
Travel
Salobrena is 75 minutes drive from Malaga Airport, 60 minutes drive from Granada Airport, and 90 minutes drive from Almeria Airport.
Car hire is available in Salobrena. There is also a very good bus service to Malaga, Granada, Almeria and all main towns and villages in between.
Distances
Granada and the Alhambra Palace - 45 minutes drive.
The Yacht Marina (Marina del Este) - 20 minutes drive.
The white villages of the Alpujarra - 40 minutes drive.
Malaga - 60 minutes drive..

Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remainder being due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Full payment required at the time of booking for bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival. Payment to be made in pounds sterling directly into UK bank account (or in euros into Spanish bank account). A £70/100 euros security deposit is required upon arrival at the property.
