Carrer dels Tallers, a pedestrian street that crosses the northern most part of the Old City of Barcelona, begins at the famous Ramblas just below Plaza Catalunya and ends at the Plaza de la Universidad. Tallers has been described as the most characteristic street of the North Raval Barrio. Just around the corner is the sleek new Museum of Contemporary Art designed by Richard Meier. Galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants complement the many traditional shops and restaurants in the neighborhood.
