The lounge/dining area is light and spacious with patio doors leading to the large sun terrace with patio furniture. There is also a large roof terrace with views of both the sea and mountains. The private drive accommodates up to 3 cars and has an electric security gate.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
We offer a 5% discount for bookings of 2 weeks or more.
Electricity is not included and is charged on departure according to meter reading. Normally around 15 euros per week.

Changeover day
Earliest arrival time is 3pm (negotiable if villa is not let).
Latest check-out time is 11am (again can be negotiable depending on lets). For late check-ins (after 11pm) there will be an additional charge of 40 euros (payable in resort).

Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a double 5' bed, large fitted wardrobe, ceiling fan, safe and en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, large fitted wardrobe and ceiling fan.
Bathrooms: En suite bathroom to master bedroom with hydrotherapy shower, double basins and WC.
Bathroom 2 has a bath with a shower fitting, double basins and WC.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, hob with extractor fan, microwave/cooker, griddle, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster.
Utility Room: Washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Light and spacious lounge/dining area with 2 comfortable leather double settees. Satellite(freeview) TV, video and DVD with a selection of videos and DVDs for your enjoyment. There is also a small selection of books, games and jigsaws.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels/linen are included. The pool and villa is cleaned between lets but additional cleaning if required to be paid locally. Beach towels are not provided, but we can supply these at a small extra cost.

 

Notes on accommodation
There are air conditioning units (cold and hot) in both bedrooms and in the lounge/dining area. There are security shutters and mosquito nets on all windows. This is a non smoking villa. Due to the nature of the gardens (many cactus plants and under gravel watering system) this villa is not suitable for young children. We do not accept dogs or any other animals.

Accessibility
This villa is all on one level. Just two steps up at back access door.

Outside
The gardens are well established with a large selection of flowers and cactus plants and an under gravel watering system, therefore unsuitable for families with small children. The kidney shaped private pool is 32 sq.m. with a maximum depth of 1m 60. It has walk down graduated steps and a poolside shower.
There is a large covered patio with patio furniture. There is a large roof terrace with views of the sea and the mountains behind.

Coast/Beach
The villa is just 12-15 minutes stroll from the main Plaza.The new promenade with palm trees and beautiful sitting areas runs the entire length of the long sandy beach. There are numerous small beach bars where you can enjoy a morning coffee or lazy lunch. There are also several hidden small coves to find. The beaches in San Juan are some of the best in the area, with soft golden sand and a gentle slope in the water.

Golf
There is a brand new golf course - Mundo Aguilon at Jaravia, which is a short drive from the villa. The Desert Springs course, the only sand golf course in Europe, is just under a half hour drive away.

Travel
Almeria Airport is 75 minutes drive away(approx 115 kms).
Murcia airport is about 70 minutes with a new motorway (toll) just opened (costs around 8-9 euros).
Alicante airport would be approximately 2½ hours.

Distances
The nearest town is Aguilas, a real Spanish town just 11km. There is a lovely bustling harbour area, or while away an afternoon in the pretty town centre square with its pavement bars, cafes and shops. Approximately 30 mins drive is the ancient village of Mojacar, with its whitewashed buildings and narrow streets, full of charm and old traditions, a definite 'must'. to visit. There are plenty of local information leaflets in the Villa for you to browse.

Further details
The village of San Juan de los Terreros is quite small. You will find a hairdresser, various small shops (some only open in the summer months, including the newspaper kiosks, churreria etc) and a large supermarket that sells everything from groceries, fishing rods, live bait, garden furniture, souvenirs etc. There are also a couple of smaller supermarkets. During the summer months, San Juan holds its own local Sunday market, but there are ample markets in the region where you can pick up a wealth of bargains! The resort is quite busy in the season with many Spanish people visiting during July and August. The Plaza offers various open air events throughout the summer months.

Booking notes
A non returnable deposit of 15% is required on booking, with balance 21 days before departure. A bond of £150 is required in case of breakages, returned within 3 days of return. Water is included, but electricity is charged as used (checked on day of departure). Aug 09. First of all thank you for the lovely wine and nibbles for us and sweets for the children. Your villa is fantastic, beautifully decorated and we fell in love with it. Gorgeous pool and veranda area which is screened for privacy - my daughter taught me how to swim for the first time in 43 years. We enjoyed the walk into the town, just the right distance. All in all we all had the most perfect holiday in our family life. We had many romantic evenings on the veranda, just drinking wine and listening to the sounds of the night....peaceful. This holiday has converted us to always choosing villas over hotels in the future.

Had a wonderful holiday at Casa Muneca . We never go back to the same place twice, but would love to take the villa with us wherever we go next year! Thanks for all your help - the booking procedure was simple, and thanks again for the arrival nibbles etc
