If you are looking for something a little more discerning, a holiday away from the typical tourist trail, then this fantastic villa will provide just that. Villa Castillo will make your holiday memorable and special, be it the incredible panoramic views, tranquil surroundings, tasteful interior decor, a dip in your own private pool, or all of the above. We call it the 'wow factor'. Set amongst olive and almond groves, this area is perfect for walking and cycling or if preferred to simply relax and take in the scenery. Relax by the pool in the day and then start your evening off with a glass of wine whilst watching the amazing sunsets, this is not to be missed. The local market town of Albox is 5 mins drive, this is worth a visit especially on local market days and provides all facilities required for day to day living. There are also a number of beaches and a water park approximately a 30 mins drive. In addition there are several golf courses also within a 30 mins drive.

Changeover day
Changeover day and arrival and departure times are flexible. To be arranged at time of booking.

| Living Rooms: | The massive 33ft living/dining area is light, airy and tastefully decorated. The comfortable living area has an open fireplace, CD player, DVD player, large TV with Sky. Air conditioned. The dining area has a modern dining table which seats 6. |

Towels and linen are provided. The property is fully cleaned prior to and after each guest visit. |
Notes on accommodation
Available for your use is a gas barbeque, sunbeds/cushions, outside furniture of tables and chairs.
Outside
The villa sits in its own private grounds, entry is via an electric gate with plenty of room for private parking. Situated in front of this villa is its own private swimming pool and patio area.
There is a large partly covered/open sun terrace to the front of the property, a further sun terrace to the rear and a large roof terrace. The roof terrace is a wonderful sun trap during the day and perfect for a romantic meal in the evening.
There are outside lights and electricity points on all the outside terraces/roof terrace.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of Garrucha, Vera (with its water park) and Mojacár are approximately a 30 minute drive away. It is important to note that all these beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness. The beaches at San Juan and Villaricos, with its Sunday market, are also close by. A little further away is the Cabo de Gata naturalist park with its stunning beaches and crystal clear waters.
Golf
For the golf enthusiast, there are several golf courses within a 30 minute drive, including 2 championship courses Valle del Este and the famous Desert Springs.
Travel
The nearest airport is Almeria which is a 1 hour drive from our villa. Murcia airport can be reached in 1 hour 30m and Alicante 1 hour 50m, they are all easily accessible by the excellent motorway system. During your stay we feel car hire will be essential to fully appreciate what the area has to offer. If you do require advice on car hire or any other aspect of your stay we will be more than happy to assist.
Budget airlines operate from most UK airports.

Airport: 100 km, Beach: 40 km, Golf: 25 km and Shops: 2 km.
Further details
The local market town of Albox (5 mins drive) has shops, banks, chemists, supermarkets and restaurants/bars. English, Chinese, Indian, Italian, French menus are all available locally. Albox market day is Tuesday. There is also a small market, mainly fresh fruit and vegetables held each Saturday morning. This part of Andulucia is also famous for its fiestas, here the Spanish and English mingle and relax over a cool beer or Sangria.
Places of Interest:
Granada, with the world famous Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada mountains for skiing are just 2 hours drive away. Mini Hollywood and the desert is a 1 hour drive and the crystal clear lakes at Baza, 1 hour's drive away, has spectacular scenery reminiscent of the Grand Canyon. There are also many local Natural Parks to explore and a 16th century castle in Velez Blanco.
Health and Insurance:
Albox has an excellent 24 hour walk-in medical centre to cater for minor ailments and injuries along with several dental clinics in the middle of the town. The main district hospital (Raphael Mendez) is a further 25 mins drive away. For those with pets Albox also has a walk-in veterinary surgery.
We would recommend that the hirer of the villa ensures that sufficient insurance is in place to cover serious injury or illness for the duration of their stay.
Local activities include cycling, golf, horse riding, hiking, swimming, tennis and walking.

£100 deposit to be paid at time of booking with final payment due 8 weeks prior to date of holiday. A damage deposit is payable with balance, however this is fully refundable after the villa has been checked upon departure.
