Very spacious duplex with superb elevated panoramic views. Lovely quiet shared salt water pool and tennis court. Quiet location, in small residential area. Views to sea from balcony & roof across the beautiful Don Cayo golf course and to the mountains. The duplex is elegantly but comfortably furnished. 3km from beach and 1km to old village centre of Altea la Vella. The large shared salt water pool is quiet and the well kept all weather tennis court are both situated within the secluded gardens. The old village of Altea la Vella is small and is typically Spanish with its church, shops, bars and excellent restaurants. The picturesque, historic town of Altea is 5km away, with its palm lined promenade, small harbour, marina, church square and old quarter offering a wealth of restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries. For the golfer, a 2 min walk to Don Cayo Golf Course offers a long, challenging 9 hole course (buggies for hire). Three 18 hole courses are within a short drive away.

No preferred changeover day to give you greater flexibility, though unfortunately we are unable to accommodate Sunday arrivals.

Bathrooms: 2 elegant bathrooms (1 en-suite) both having a bath and shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet. Both bathrooms have a beautiful marble floors with marble wall tiles.
The cloakroom with toilet and washhand basin is situated off the sitting room.
Kitchen: Large spacious fully fitted kitchen with white marble work surfaces, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob, kettle and teapot, coffee maker, ironing board, iron.
Utility Room: Vacuum cleaner, broom, dustpan & brush, mop & bucket, washing basket, pegs (we have an outdoor clothes line on the roof). The kitchen is extremely well equipped with good range large & small pans, matching crockery and glassware.
Living Rooms: Enormous, comfortable lounge/dining room with fantastic elevated views across golf course to sea from balcony. 3 piece suite, TV /DVD, radio/cd, dining table, 6 chairs air/con and fire place. Patio doors to large balcony and sun awning and table/ chairs.

White cotton bedlinen and white indoor towels are provided. Please bring your own swimming towels. The property is cleaned & the linen & towels changed weekly. More frequent cleaning/linen/towel change can be arranged if this is your wish.

 

Notes on accommodation
A superb, wonderfully peaceful holiday retreat for all seasons. The large, sunny, well appointed duplex is elegantly yet comfortably furnished throughout. It occupies an elevated position giving wonderful panoramic views to sea and mountain. The duplex benefits from having its own front door reached directly from the drive, a shaded carport and has only one adjoining neighbour. Children may find the area too quiet as ball games are not permitted in the gardens or pool. The beautifully manicured gardens are composed of large shrub borders, lawns and trees which provide some shaded areas. Sun loungers are provided around the pool which is set in the lawn. The tennis court is secluded, well kept and has an all weather surface. For keen tennis enthusiasts, golfers and walkers it is an ideal spot for a holiday out of season when the weather is cooler. Hoopies can be seen on golf course. The Sierra Bernia Mountains provide wonderful walks and large birds of prey can often be seen soaring.

Outside
There is a generous full width sunny balcony with sea views extending from the lounge and reached through large patio doors. It has a sun-awning, and is furnished with a table and 6 chairs. Upstairs there is a very private roof terrace with sun loungers. The large, quiet salt water swimming pool is set within well kept gardens and the secluded, all-weather tennis court is also set within the grounds. Sun loungers are provided around the pool. Both the tennis court and pool are free and for the exclusive use of residents.

Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is approximately 3km away and has 2 small and very Spanish beach bars right on the water's edge serving cold drinks and delicious food. The beaches are very clean with several children's play areas on the front at Altea. The promenade in Altea is lovely, lined with palm trees and leading to the small fishing harbour and large yacht marina. Beaches and marinas line this area of coast with many to choose from and all easily accessible by car.

Golf
Front line golf with excellent views over the beautiful Don Cayo Golf Course. Whilst it is just a 2 minute walk to clubhouse, it is not on the a golf complex nor part of any golf course. The Don Cayo course is a challenging par 36 course and electric buggies are available for hire. Handicapped certificates are required and green fees are payable, which are around 40 Euros.

Travel
Alicante airport is a very easy 40 minutes drive away along the motorway. Valencia airport is 1 hour 30 minutes. Car hire is useful for exploring local area, can be booked at the airport or locally. Ferries go from Denia to Majorca & Ibiza for day trips.

Distances
12 minute drive to the mountains and the beautiful Funtes a'Algar waterfalls. 12 minute drive to the superb Cactus Gardens in the mountains. 15 min drive along motorway to Aqualandia waterpark. 10 min drive along motorway to Terra Mitica theme park. 15 min drive along motorway to Mundomar water world animal park. 40 min drive to the wonderful Safari park in the mountains.

Further details
The small village centre is a 12 minute walk away with shops, restaurants and cafes. Altea town (4km) offers the visitor a wealth of activities within easy reach including water sports, go-karting & boat trips. There is a large market in Altea every Tuesday. The theme parks of Aqualandia, Terra Mitica and Mundomar are all within a 15 minute drive. A safari park is but a short drive into the mountains along with the famous village of Guadalest. Calpe, Denia, Javea and Benidorm are all within a 40 minute drive away. Altea is served both by a small local coastal railway linking Alicante with Denia and by bus services.
Tennis: our own well kept all weather tennis court is free and exclusively for the small group of residents.
