Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday, but this could be negotiable depending on length of booking. Check-in time is 4:00pm and departure time is 11:00am.

Accessibility
As you will see from the photographs, there are stairs to the front of the villa. However there are only three stairs off a flat entrance area at the rear of the property, which allows easier access. Inside the villa, there are stairs to both living and sleeping areas. We have had an elderly disabled person stay at the villa, and with a little help, he had a wonderful week. We would not dream of saying that the layout is ideal for people with mobility problems, but it is clearly possible.
Outside
Sun terrace is a wonderful area and is a sun worshipper’s paradise, fully equipped with four full length sun beds and towels also provided. For those who prefer the shade there is a large under covered BBQ area, with fully, equipped BBQ dining table and seating for 8. The views across the meticulously manicured south course stretch right across La Manga Club to the hazy welcome of the Mar Menor.
Top solarium is just a few steps up from the main sun terrace is another area where you can get even closer to the glorious sunshine, allowing you to bask from morning to night. There is also another table and chairs, where you can sit and have a drink in the evening and watch the sun go down. More breath taking views, which are simply stunning at night. There are 4 shared swimming pools, all within a couple of minutes walk, each one offers sun beds, and shade if required. There is also a large parking area, directly opposite the villa.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach (La Cala) is a 3-4 minute drive, and has a wonderful fish restaurant set into the face of the rocks overlooking the sea. Mar de Cristal just ten minutes away has the coveted blue flag award, this is a beautiful and safe place to enjoy the calm waters of the Mar Menor. There are 250km of beaches and coves on the Costa Calida, many offering watersports and other activities. Some of these are designated national or regional parks, and they have outstanding natural beauty.
Golf
With 3 championship courses, and superb practice facilities it is hardly surprising that La Manga Club has been voted Europe's top golf resort for the last three years. It has played host to international tournaments including the Spanish Open, PGA Spanish Championships and Ladies Spanish Open. Advance booking is recommended. Other awards include European Golf Resort of the Year, Hertz International Golf Travel Awards 1999. Europe's Leading Golf Resort, World Travel Awards 2001. The Golf Academy caters for all levels of ability and lessons can be booked at the golf academy with the club professionals. Locally there are many other golf courses within easy reach, this is truly a paradise for golfers. Green fees at La Manga Club are discounted by 50% for villa guests.
Special interest holidays
Tennis - The La Manga Tennis Centre is one of the finest outdoor facilities in Europe and has even hosted such prestigious events as the Davis Cup. Centrally located it boasts 28 courts, most of which are floodlit, with a choice of clay, astroturf or hard surfaces. The tennis academy makes use of the latest coaching technologies and provides top class tuition for all ages. There is also a tennis shop with a selection of the best-known brands in clothing and equipment. Equipment hire services, racket service centre, fitness centre, sauna and jacuzzi. Tennis Academy coaching, whether you're a complete beginner, a keen amateur or an up-and-coming club player.
Horse riding - set in the Murcian hills and surrounded by beautiful lemon groves, the La Manga Equestrian Centre offers a variety of daily treks along the beach or through the picturesque Spanish countryside.
Sailing etc - dotted up and down the Costa Calida you can find various sailing centres and schools.
Travel
The nearest airport is San Javier (Murcia) which is about 15 to 20 minutes away. Alicante airport is about 40 minutes away, and both have many cheap flights available from all over Europe. In 2008 when Corvera International airport is completed this area will have the most available air transport system in Spain. The local road and motorway system is excellent, giving easy access to the two major cities of Murcia and Cartagena. Bus and rail transport is also readily available.
Distances
The two main cities of Murcia and Cartagena, are both within easy driving distance. The former is about 25 minutes away, and the latter no more than 15 minutes. Both of these places are full of historical interest, with museums, art galleries, great restaurants, tapas bars and lots of quality shops. There are lots of smaller places of interest as well, such as Cabo de Palos with its harbour, and extensive fish restaurants and bars. There are lots of local markets, from La Union to Los Belones.
Further details
The nearest bar/restaurant is called the Windmill (Molinos), they do fantastic lunches, and are open all afternoon (see pictures on our site). There is Victor's restaurant which has a barbeque available every night, plus an extensive A la Carte Menu. In the Bellaluz centre (5 minutes walk) there are bars, a bistro, and most important a supermarket and pharmacy. There are many more bars and restaurants all over the resort, but you may want to take the car if you are feeling a bit lazy. Whatever you do you must not miss the amazing Hyatt 5 star hotel, with its themed nights, fabulous restaurants, and the infamous piano bar.
If you need to make contact with the outside world, send or receive emails or phone home, there is a help and communication centre just 3 minutes from the villa. Right next to this is a medical centre, and an estate agent (just in case you want to buy your own piece of heaven). If you wish to leave the resort there are lots of restaurants at nearby Los Belones, including Indian, Chinese and even Italian. One restaurant which comes highly recommended is the Roblemar, which is at Los Alcazares.

A security payment of £500 is to be paid on balance, to cover possible breakages etc. This will be returned within 10 days after departure, after satifactory inspection of property, and return of keys. Minimum rental will be 4 days by negotiation. May we point out, this is a child friendly villa. Stairgate, cot/playpen and highchair etc, are supplied at no extra cost.
