Changeover day
Chang-over day is fully flexible where possible. Apartment is available from 3pm on day of arrival. Apartment to be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

DVD Films, sports equipment and some toys provided for young children. Children's push chair and travel cot also provided. Wi-Fi hotspots available around pool areas.

Coast/Beach
The blue flag beach of Vera playa is just 5 mins by car offering miles of quiet golden sand to relax with the family. A small part of the the beach is classed as a naturist area. Many other excellent beaches just a short drive away including San Juan, Garrucha and Mojacar all with lifeguards and beach bars in summer months. Also the Cabo de Gata National park with many beautiful hidden coves is 45 minutes away by car.
Golf
Apartment is located within a short drive of 4 great golf courses that suit all levels of golfer. It is also very close to a driving range with a putting green and a 2-hole pitch and putt. The courses are: Cortijo Grande 9 hole soon to be 18, A Very relaxed but challenging course set amongst orange groves and hills. Desert Springs, 18 hole par 72, The Indiana course is the first desert course in Europe and has been built to full USGA specifications and quality standards of the now famous desert courses of Arizona and California. Marina golf in Mojacar 18 hole par 72, This 18 hole course has 9 holes located next to the beach which are flat, and the remaining 9 holes on the side or a small hill, resulting in varied shot-making. Valle de Este. 18 hole par 71 The Valle del Este course has been integrated into the surrounding landscape by making use of indigenous vegetation. There is a good combination of very challenging holes, with other less strenuous holes, also fantastic views.
Skiing
Sierra Navada ski resort is about 2 hours by car.

Historic town of Vera with lots of shops/restaurants local market and a bull ring 10 mins by car. Mojacar strip with lots of bars, shops and many different restaurants 15 mins by car. The busy fishing town of Garrucha with its marina and promenade and lots of fish restaurants 10 mins by car. Vera Aqua Water park - great fun for all the family 2 mins by car. Supermarket, restaurants and banks - 2 minute drive away.

New shopping center close by with large supermarket, coffee bars, Excellent Wok Buffet restaurant near-by. Large Irish Sports pub just opened for 2011.

About the owner
We are married with 2 children aged 7 and 1 years old, and also have two teenage children from a previous marriage. We live in Wigan, Lancs and both work full-time.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Bought the property Off-Plan in August 2005 as a long term investment and a holiday home for the family to enjoy. We love this area of Spain as it is very easy to get to, peaceful and relaxing and also has fantastic beaches and scenery. The local people are very friendly and there are also some great restaurants in the local area.
Unique benefits of the property
We love just relaxing by the pool which is 2 mins away from the apartment. We have quite a large private garden which is also great for sunbathing or just playing with the kids. Also great to have the use of an indoor heated pool for those rare rainy days.
