A fifteen minute drive takes you to the coast, major shopping mall, the Aquapark and the beach town of Torre del Mar.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is air-conditioned with additional ceiling fans. There is also heating provided by a modern log fire and also heating via the air-conditioning units. Please note the swimming pool is not fenced off, so small children should be supervised at all times. Baby equipment such as cots, high chairs, etc can be hired at an additional cost. Please ask for details when booking.
Outside
Access is from the ground floor via patio doors onto the large wrap around covered terrace with hanging ornamental lights. Modern dining suite. Comfortable sofa and armchair seating with coffee table. Landscaped garden and BBQ area with outside garden lights for night time illumination. Private swimming pool which can also be illuminated at night. The pool is approx. 7 metres x 4 metres and 5ft deep. Sun-lounger's are provided for around the pool. Large paved terrace with Olive tree to the front of the villa which could also be used for additional parking space. This is not usually necessary as there is ample parking facility outside the villa on the private road. All large ground floor windows and patio doors have traditional opening Spanish ornamental bars.
Coast/Beach
The popular beach town of Torre del Mar is only a 15 minute drive away with its lovely long sandy beaches. The town has a variety of restaurants and plenty of bars, the adjoining Caleta Marina and the nearby Aqua Park makes Torre del Mar a favourite for families.
Nerja - is a popular and beautiful coastal resort with the stunning famous Caves and Balcon de Europe only 30 minutes drive.
Marbella/Puerto banus - Just 1 hour drive away. Gilbraltar - 2 hours drive away. All well worth a visit!
Golf
2 golf courses within 20-30 mins of the villa. Baviera Golf and Rincon de la Victoria are both within a short drive. Of course there are many more golf courses on the Costa Del Sol coast line.
Skiing
Granada and the Sierra Nevada Mountain range is within an hours drive of the villa.
Travel
Malaga's International Airport is 40 mins from the villa (50kms) drive. Granada Airport is 1 hour 20 mins from the villa. Car hire is essential and is easily arranged with pick-up from the airport. Also local taxi services available.
The local bus service will take you into Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar.
Distances
Puente don Manuel village is approx. 1/2km from the villa. This is one of the many tiny villages that are dotted around the hillside to explore. 10 mins drive is Velez-Malaga the old captial of the province and is the nearest large town where all facilities can be found. Local markets take place in the surrounding towns and villages. Further afield is Granada (1 1/2 hours), Malaga (40 mins), Marbella/Puerta Banus (1 hour) and Gilbraltar approx. 2 hours away all by excellent motorway links.
Further details
Puente don Manuel is within the Alcaucin district. It is a small Spanish mountain village with a few local shops, bakery, supermarket, butchers, English convenience store, restaurants and tavernas.
The beautiful Lake Vinuela is just 2 minutes away (one of the largest freshwater lakes in Spain) providing fishing, sailing, horse riding, cycling and wooded areas for BBQs. The hotel Vinuela is situated on the lake and has a popular restaurant. Mount Maroma national park is nearby for those who love to walk and take in the picturesque views.
One of the coasts largest new shopping malls, El Ingenio, with designer shops, cinema, ten pin bowling, large supermarket and foodhall can be found next to the motorway, approx. 10kms away, next to the Aquapark.
Booking notes
50% deposit is required to secure the booking, balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure together with £150 per week refundable breakages deposit. The breakages deposit will be refunded one week after return date, provided no damage reported. Arrangements can also be made for the security deposit to be paid in cash on arrival at the villa to the Property Manager and returned if all is OK on the departure date.

We’ve just arrived back in the UK this morning after spending a very enjoyable two weeks in Spain. We went to Sevilla, Gibraltar and Tarifa after leaving your villa, so had a varied tour of Andalucia. Thanks very much for the rental of your villa. We really enjoyed the quiet of the villa which is what we were looking for. Not surprisingly we spent most of our time outdoors with little need to be inside except to sleep. So, the outside space was amazing, keeping under cover, yet enjoying the heat as we read our books beside the pool. About the owner
My partner and I live in Cheshire and look forward to switching off from the otherwise hectic life of 24/7. We love the outdoors, enjoy walking, running, motorcycling and our favourite hobby is Clay Pigeon and target shooting. We love to travel and must always experience the true culture of the country we visit. Who wants to pay much and travel so far and yet feel like you are down the road from where you live in the UK and not experiencing something new.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We love the authentic traditional Spanish environment of the Puente don Manuel village. We have always enjoyed going to Spain and have visited many regions over the years. We decided to invest in this area, as we wanted to be near the coast but wanted to enjoy the remoteness of Spanish life in the mountains. We wanted to go into local Spanish shops and do our shopping trying out some of the Spanish we have picked up over the years. The people in the village are friendly and always willing to help. You can walk out the door of the villa and enjoy many a walk into the mountain area or around Lake Vinuela. Alternatively, you can jump into your car and have easy access to the coast line of the Costa del Sol. If you are looking for a real get away from hectic life, you have chosen correctly.
Unique benefits of the property
Our villa is in walking distance to all local amenities, local shops, restaurants and the few traditional Spanish bars in the village. There are many walks you can take advantage of in the mountains or around Lake Vinuela. With many pockets of quaint Spanish villages tucked away in the mountains to visit. The garden is our pride and joy. It has a lemon tree (help yourself to them for your Gin & tonic). A beautiful bonsai tree that takes centre place in the garden. The pool provides hours of entertainment for the family and dad can always set his stool up at the BBQ in the corner of the garden. The local butcher provides excellent meats to cook on the BBQ.
