This lovely newly built townhouse villa is located just 500m from Nerja's best beach, Burriana. We chose this property for its convient yet quiet locaton. The views from this property over the sea, Nerja town and it's surrounding mountains are lovely. There are 3 terraces from which to enjoy the sun and the views. The house is comfortably furnished throughout with the quality furnishings complimenting the white marble floors. The bedrooms are also comfortable and are fitted with blackout sunblinds, ceiling fans and patio doors leading to a terrace. The shared pool is just a few steps away and has ample sun terracing together with lovely views, showers and bathroom facilities. Nerja is only 40 minutes drive from Malaga and within 1 hour from Granada and lies between small coves untouched by development. The scenic walk to the Balcon d'Europa in the picturesque centre of Nerja takes 15 minutes and just 5 minutes to the beach with its shops and many open air restaurants.

Changeover day
Bookings are generally Saturday to Saturday, flexible in low season or at short notice subject to availability. Please speak to us if you would like to start your holiday from a different day, as we may be able to accommodate you.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1, double bed. Leads to large terrace. This area attracts the afternoon sun and is a great area to enjoy the evenings and beautiful sunsets.
Bedroom 2, twin beds and access to terraces.
Bedroom 3, twin beds, 1 extra bed, 1 cot.
Bathrooms: 2 bathrooms with bath/shower over, WC, bidet and additional toilet.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops and equipped with hob and full size oven, kettle, toaster, microwave, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, and all cooking utensils and crockery, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Modern open plan living room with Satellite TV, DVD player, and CD/Ccssette Hi-Fi system, open fire. Leads to a dining area complete with dining table seating 6 people. The living room terrace is equipped with table and chairs for dining alfresco.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels (except beach towels) and bed linen are provided on a weekly basis.

Notes on accommodation
The townhouse is located in a quiet residencial part of Nerja and also includes a large integral garage which is great for keeping your car cool. Also stored in the garage, lightweight beach chairs for you to take to the beach or pool area.

Accessibility
Children welcome, long term renters welcome (please enquire as we will quote a special price), low allergen environment, pets not allowed, wheelchair inaccessible.

Outside
Balcony, barbeque, terraces, table, 6 garden chairs, sunloungers, 4 beach chairs. The shared pool is just a few steps away and has ample sun terracing with lovely views, together with showers and bathroom facilities. As already mentioned light weight beach chairs are provided for you to take to the pool area or the beach.

Coast/Beach
Nerja's famous Burriana beach is only a 5 minute walk away from Aljamar. There are numerous bars and restaurants including the renouned 'Ayo's' restaurant for those long lazy lunches. There is a small supermarket also situated on the beachfront. 10 minutes walk to the centre of town.

Golf
The nearest golf course is 15 minutes drive in Velez Malaga.

Skiing
The fantastic Sierra Nevada ski resort near Granada is approx 1.5 hours drive. Offering great skiing facilities for all the family, it is open from November to May.

Travel
Mąlaga is the nearest airport (50kms away), a 40 minute drive, with motorway access to within a mile of the town. Taxis are easily available at the airport or you can take a bus from Malaga. There is an excellent bus service between Nerja and all major towns and villages. We recommend hiring a vehicle, as there are plenty of local excursions, but it is not essential. Granada airport is an alternative destination. It takes 1 and a 1/4 hours by car (look out for bargain flight offers)

Distances
Two miles away, the Nerja Caves are well worth visiting. A fascinating, extensive network of underground caverns, complete with auditorium and stage where the annual music and arts festival takes place. Nearby is the picturesque fishing village of Maro, with panoramic views across the sea and a small secluded beach, invisible from the cliff top. The mountains shelter many small attractive villages, notably Frigiliana with its restored Roman town and narrow vehicle-free cobbled streets.

Further details
Nerja is unspoilt by high-rise holiday development and retains its unique character. Fishermen still bring in their morning catch down on the beach. Architecture is a mixture of Andalucian and Moorish styles. All new constructions have been adapted to the traditional Andalusian style of whitewashed houses, windows with grills, roof with two slopes, etc. Nerja is not just a summer resort; it retains its unique charm all year round claiming the best climate in Europe. This is in part due to the surrounding Almijara mountains with its pine-clad slopes which shelter the resort and provide stunning views and ideal countryside for walkers and cyclists. Nerja, the old town, with its narrow vehicle restricted cobbled streets, offers a more relaxed holiday from that found in the more fashionable resorts of the Costa del Sol. With lovely beaches, picturesque bays, the famous 'Balcon de Europa' promenade, numerous small shops, tapas, bars and restaurants. The local flea market in the town each Tuesday morning is a must for the avid bargain hunter! Nerja has something for everyone, especially families and the more mature holiday maker. However, for those who are less mobile, there are some fairly steep roads and walkways.
Other places to visit include, Aquapark, and further afield is the historical city of Granada and its famous Alhambra Palace. Malaga and beyond, to Marbella and Puerto Banus also provide a great day out.
