Completed April 2006 to a high standard. 'Lemon Tree Villa' lies in the hillside above the pretty village of Moraira. You can sit on either the large upstairs terrace or downstairs patio by the kidney shaped pool and watch lovely sunsets over the mountains. Two double bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs along with large air-conditioned living room and kitchen upstairs. Sliding door to terrace. Down stairs to another twin en-suite bedroom with walk in glass partitioned shower.

Changeover day
Changeover days are usually Saturday, but with many budget airlines running cheap midweek flights we do try to be flexible, if it works in with our booking plan.

French doors open onto the terrace and swimming pool.
Bathrooms: Upstairs bathroom has WC, full size bath with thermostatically controlled shower. Sink with mirror over. Shaver point. Downstairs, en-suite WC, sink with mirror over. Shaver point. Walk in glassbrick partitioned shower cubical with thermostatic controls.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with integrated fan-assisted oven and ceramic hob, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and the all important can and bottle openers. In fact everything you'll need and expect for a perfect holiday.
Utility Room: The washer/dryer is housed in a separate cupboard along with the vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron and all the cleaning utensils. A stock of DVD' s, tapes and board games are there for your use.
Living Rooms: Lounge/diner has 2 comfortable leather sofas a tub chair, coffee table, TV, DVD, tape players. Phillips Hi-Fi to play your favourite CDs. Cane dining table and chairs. Air-conditioning, hot/cold and a practical fire place for early or late holidays.
Other: A sliding door leads to the top terrace where we have some cane furniture to relax, eat alfresco or watch the sun go down with that large G&T. From here you can see the gated communal pools and the views towards Moraira and Calpe.

All linen and towels(except beach towels) are provided. The villa is cleaned before your arrival.

 

Notes on accommodation
This 3 bedroom villa is set to exceptional high standards. It's our home from home, which we are sure you will enjoy. There are no hidden extras. Electricity and air-conditioning are included in the price. But please, keep doors closed when using the air-conditioning. Can we ask you not to smoke in the villa. All bedrooms have drop down shutters so you can leave the windows open in complete safety at night.

Accessibility
Unfortunately, the villa is not suitable for wheelchair users as it is constructed over two levels. Bedroom 3 is reached via the outside staircase which is quite usual in Spain.

Outside
The private 6m x 3m kidney shaped swimming pool complete with inlaid mosaic mermaid and 2 underwater lights is our grand children's favourite place. We can't keep then out of it. There's poolside loungers and a table, reclining chairs and parasol. A covered patio for more shade. The views over the palm trees in our garden are something you have to see.

Coast/Beach
There are 2 lovely sandy beaches at Moraira with lifeguards in high season. Opposite the palm tree lined esplanade are cafe-bars, restaurants and a ice-cream parlour. The local private beach to the Cumbre is called Moraig. There is a car park at the bottom of the hill along with toilets and a beach bar. Sunbeds and parasols are available for hire at all the beaches.

Golf
There are golf courses in the local area. I'm not a golfer myself, but those who are, tell me they are good. The nearest being Morairia or Javea, some 10 minutes away.

Travel
Alicante airport to the villa takes about 1 hour using the AP7 (E15) motorway. A hired car is essential in this part of Spain if you wish to see the beauty of it. Escape into the hills and join the locals. There is so much to do and see away from the beaches.

Distances
The seaside village of Moraira is 10 minutes drive and the little town of Benitachell is about the same distance.

Further details
The Irish pub (called The Old Library), Spanish tapas bar, restaurants etc. bank, cash dispenser and hardware shop are all about 10 minuets walk away. The once small fishing village of Moraira is now a busy and bustling little town with a marina. There is everything you need here, from banks to boutiques, from bars to bistros. Even a disco for the young at heart, go-karting for the boy racers and horse riding on the Cumbre for the more sedate. Javea and Denia, which has a port are lovely places to visit. For shows and a more lively night out, there is always Benedorm and Calpe. If you like markets, the Moraira one is held Friday mornings. Just head to town, you can't miss it.
