From the terrace, the master bedroom and the twin bedroom there is a beautiful sea view. For your entertainment there is SkyTV, DVD player, radio, chess set, draughts and playing cards. The community swimming pool is only 20 metres from the property and there is also a childrens pool set in beautiful grounds, again with a beautiful sea view. There are 2 paddle tennis courts. The house is just a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the beautiful horse shoe bay of La Herradura where you will find a large selection of seafront restaurants and shops. A daily market supplies fresh fish, meat and veg with a bakery next door to the market. Diving schools, wind surfing and sailing are available on the beach, with golf, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking closeby.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Sufficient towels and linen are provided for the whole stay. Also beach towels are provided. The property is cleaned before arrival and at the end of the stay. A cleaning service can be provided if so desired.

 

Notes on accommodation
The property has the benefit of gas central heating but because of the mild winter climate it is rarely needed.There is a fan in the lounge and ceiling fans in the bedrooms which is sufficient to keep the house cool. The house has been furnished to a very high standard and has all the equipment necessary for your comfort. The property is suitable for children and is only a stone throw away from the swimming pool. Guests are asked to refrain from smoking indoors. No pets allowed.

There is parking at the front of the property and also in the street below. Large tiled terrace furnished with table and 6 comfortable lounging chairs. Parasol. Sunbeds. BBQ. From the terrace there is a beautiful view of the sea and mountains, ideal for al fresco dining. Stunning tropical community gardens. Large community pool with smaller children's pool set in lovely gardens and with a breathtaking sea and mountain view. Remote controlled entrance gates with 2 pedestrian gates making it very safe for children to play.

Coast/Beach
The beach with diving and windsurfing facilities is 3 mins by car 'plenty of free parking' or 20 mins walking from the house. The cheringuito beach restaurants are idyllic for a long lazy lunch, whilst the Marina with more quayside restaurants offers yachting facilities. With mountains as a backdrop this coastline is stunning with spectacular views and many secluded beaches to be discovered on foot or by car including a naturist beach.

Travel
Nerja is a 12 minute drive, Granada, 60 mins, Sierra Nevada 90 mins. Málaga airport 55 mins and Granada airport 80 minutes.
A car is essential.

Distances
Almuñecar with it´s waterpark is a 10 min drive. Nerja is a 12 min drive and its caves are well worth a visit. Granada is 60 min with the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and relaxing thermal spas.

Further details
In the village of La Herradura you will find banks, ATM machines, a post office, pharmacies, dentists and a health centre. There are also a number of supermarkets and the villages municipal market has numerous stalls with fresh daily produce including fruit and vegetables, fish, meat, cheese and a bakery. In the village there are a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes, many along the beach but some also in other parts of the town. There are numerous tapas bars and bars offering live music during the summer season and also a couple of small discos near the beach. Around the village are a range of shops, art galleries etc.
Paragliding is a popular activity with a World Class reputation for the experienced pilot. There is a huge range of water sport activities from Jet Ski, Water-skiing, Wind surfing, there is even a Catamaran available for hire that has been used in numerous television productions.
Almuñecar, just five minutes away, has a good range of shops, a weekly market and restaurants serving cuisine from all round the world.
It also has a water park. The hills and mountains behind La Herradura give access to marked trails and white mountain villages.
The area enjoys a sub tropical climate with average winter tempatures of 18 degrees.
Places of interest nearby include: The 'Parque Natural' with it's wild goats, Punta de la Mona, Nerja Caves, Almuñecar with it's old quarter, castle and aviary. Salobreña. Travalez - the highest village in Spain. Cave houses at Guadix. The Alhambra and Granada city itself. Malaga city and the Picasso museum.

Booking notes
Bookings to be made direct to the owners. A deposit of 25% and the balance 6 weeks before departure. A security deposit of 200 euros is taken on arrival and refunded after a full check of the property has been made and there are no damages.
