The bungalow is within 5 minutes walking distance of one of the coasts best "Blue Flag" sandy beaches. If your looking for relaxation, the dunes of soft white sand, fringed by palm forests are a must. Guardamar is north of La Mata & Torrevieja. Its a busy town and popular holiday resort and rightly so as it has much to offer. Guardamar has 12km of fine sandy beaches, beautiful parks, fine restaurants, many specialising in local cuisine, and an interesting history stretching back many centuries. The rear of property overlooks a shared pool that has a seperate toddlers pool.

There is a cleaning charge of either 65 euros for 2 bedrooms or 85 for 3 bedrooms. You will be met by the keyholder who will familiarize you with the property and surrounding area and answer any questions. Negotiable rates for longer lets and early bookings.

Notes on accommodation
The property is in a quiet community, close to a pine forest conservation area. The accommodation apart from the 3rd en suite bedroom is all on the ground floor making it suitable and safe for all ages and is fully equipped. Its a real home from home. All rooms have reversable air-conditioning making it an ideal winter and summer let. Windows have roller shutters and grills. No smoking in the house please and no pets.

Accessibility
Three steps are encountered when entering the property so it is not suitable for wheelchair access. The 3rd bedroom is accessed via external spiral staircase. Easy access into the pool is via steps.
Outside
There is a garden to the front of the property with a covered porch complete with patio furniture. Its a lovely sheltered area to sit and read a book or simply take a nap out of the sun.
At the rear you will find a small tiled area containing table and chairs for alfresco dining, BBQ and Parasol. There are sufficient sun loungers and chairs for use by the pool. The sun terrace has a large table and 6 chairs and an awning for those very hot days. The pool is directly outside the rear garden gate it has a separate shallow end suitable for toddlers.
Coast/Beach
This property is ideally situated for those who want a quite beach location, free from traffic. The beach is just a 5 minute walk via a pedestrian only road through the pine forest. During peak season the beach is manned by lifeguards, has a snack bar and sunbeds and parasols may be hired. The World Health Organisation has distinguished the climate in the region as a recommendable climate, especially, for those with breathing and heart problems.
Golf
5 golf courses are within 30 minutes drive including Las Ramblas, Real Club de Golf Campoamor, Villamartin and La Finca, La Marquesa. La Manga is within 1 hours drive.
Travel
Guardamar is on the sunny east coast of Spain, called the Costa Blanca, roughly half-way between Alicante and Murcia.
The property is served by Alicante and Murcia Airport both being 30 minutes by car. Car hire is highly recommended. Guardamar del Segura can be easily reached via the coast road (N-332) or by the CV-910 from Rojales.
Distances
The property is half way between Guardamar and La Mata.
Both are just over a 5 minute drive away. Benidorm has much to offer and is approximately 1 hour by car. Terra Mitica will immerse you in a fascinating culture trip where you can experience life in the Mediterranean by exploring the different themed parts of the park: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and the Islands. Alicante is excellent for shopping and has a large marina, 35 minutes by car. Santa Pola 20 minutes and La Marina 15 minutes.
Further details
Places of interest in the area are the Parque Reina Sofia (Queen Sofia Park), a fine place for a picnic. La Gola river meets the sea - perfect for water sports, and the Parque Natural de laguna de La Mata, which includes the salt lake and is a popular area for horse riding, cycling and walking. You can hire Kayak or bicycles at a facility just 5 mins from our home. Many also chose to bathe in the salt lakes enjoying its healing effects. A trip would not be complete without a visit to the bustling town of Torrevieja and its promenade, busy shops and restaurants and its huge Friday market. The Spanish weekly markets are very popular in almost all towns close to Guardamar. In the town it takes place every Wednesday. The biggest weekly market of the region is on Sunday in Campo de Guardamar. It has numerous offers for visitors of local fruit and vegetables, as well as shoes from Spanish traditional workshops, craft work, clothes etc. The town of Guardamar has a wide variety of shops, including supermarkets, banks including Halifax ES, pharmacy and clinics. Parking is free and restaurants and bars are plentiful. People with young children can enjoy all the wonderful facilities on offer at the La Marina campsite for as little as 9 euros per day. Booking notes
A £100 non-returnable deposit will be required to secure your booking and the balance payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday.
Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to your holiday must be paid in full at time of booking.
A refundable security deposit of 100 euros is payable on arrival to cover breakages.
